Seriously Disney Infinity? What the hell are Leia, Han and Chewbacca even doing on the Death Star? Are C3P0 and R2D2 taking out the shield generator themselves then?
It was clear the team wanted to focus more on the gameplay rather then be 100% accurate to the movies, as much as it might annoy the die hard Star wars fans, they wanted to not make it seem weird that any of the other characters appear in gameplay but disappear for the cutscene.
Plus in the game at this point the shield generators were already taken down before they even headed up to the Death Star.
Cole Cameron yeah they were more so an excuse to play in those worlds.
Which to be fair dose give more of that feeling of playing with toys

Bombproofbutter again, they choose gameplay over story, and they don’t usually change the appearance of characters for the sets, unlike the LEGO games.

I like the presentation in LEGO Star Wars the force awakens in how Anakin defeats Palpatine, but the humor is probably the weakest part of it. The humor in the classic Star Wars LEGO games was only in the lighthearted moments, and in the moments where no jokes were made we had soul crushing LEGO scenes like Qui Gons death, Vader’s birth, and the death of Anakin Skywalker in ROTJ. The classics were much better at telling the stories, while still having it’s humorous moments.
It might comeback in the new lego game
That Trash that’d be great, cause it can still have its jokes but when it comes to the more serious and Sad moments, there shouldn’t be as much humor.
You could just watch the movies. It's a scene everyone has seen five million times anyways.
NameyNameName lol yeah, it’s just a matter of how this LEGO Game handles the emotional scene very poorly compared too the original LEGO Star Wars game.
Yearlonggiant the team working on the new game said they will still have those humorous moments in certain unexpected times (they mentioned the kylo and luke scene on crait) but they seem to really be working hard on it and stated almost 500 characters will be in game with ability to start at any movie in the saga. so i’m really excited

Too bad we never saw this on the Battlefront games. In OG Battlefront 1 your last mission was Endor and you destroyed the shield of the Death Star. And in OG Battlefront 2 the campaign ended with the Imperial victory during the battle in Hoth.

Darth Vader is one of my favorite villains to be redeemed. Kovu, Vitani, Starlight Glimmer, Discord, and Sunset Shimmer are my other favorites.

Apprentice of the Force was such an amazing game. I had some sort of pirated copy back then for my gameboy and I was unable to save, so I had to play through the whole game in one go. Did that at least 10 times just to see the Vader vs. Luke fights haha

I'm just saying, what made the vader redemption scene so good in TCS was how it followed the movie and was serious. Now how are we, the older players, supposed to get emotionally attached to these cutscenes when there is just no seriousness in them, it's just humor. I don't feel the seriousness disney has for the OT. Like, the vader redemption scene, that is supposed to be serious and emotional, but in TFA it was all joke no seriousness, which is appealing to young kids, but probably not to the older audience. TCS did it so well. I get distracted with anakin's clone wars head and the imperial guards crying, TFA vader redemption scene is not good

6:35 Disney infinity has one animation per character. that means that every time we see them they do the same animation over and over again. truly sad. Heck they didn't bother making the iconic unmasking of darth vader scene. the first time I played this, it was disappointing that there was no big reveal.
