Richard Hammond reveals what he eats whilst filming road trips

- It turns out Hammond is a bit of a foodie, enjoying a good Sunday roast and having very high standards when it comes to scrambled eggs. He also revealed his perfect road trip food to us, his must-have munchies for when filming The Grand Tour. He managed to eat a chocolate bar while riding a motorcycle too - we’re not sure how.

On the shows they are talking about the character Richard Hammond, not the real one.

Easy. I was fed coleslaw while flying an helicopter which takes 3 hands and 2 feet.
Just look Grand Tour. There is one show where he was more in the puddle then on a Bike. I think this matches.

I've always adored this man. Now he's looking decidedly healthier (perhaps because he lives in the country and seems to be eating his own farm products AND he's stopped smoking). I wish his two collegues would follow his example because they look quite out of form. I'd like to see more of Hammond...he's charming.

I forgot my British to American translator at home. He is spot on with the backyard chickens... sunlight burst out of a fresh cracked one.
We always had chickens, and ducks as well. Several different kinds of chickens, and they had plenty of ancient shells in the dirt from when it was less of a valley and more sea floor. Free range ofc. Those eggs, such a differenct. And the shells are so much thicker, feels more healthy just that part

@Mo Man I quit after thirty two years smoking by getting a vape mod. Felt fantastic with no desire for a cigarette for over four years now. Had my last cigarette, no cravings, haven't looked back. Oh, and don't fall for the propaganda... the people that it's "hurting" or "killing" are idiots who either (a) mixed CBD oil into their vape juice to try to get high, or (b) bought homemade/black market vape juice that had no QC or oversight anywhere near it. I'm already down to the lowest nicotine content they bottle, 3 mg, and plan on letting it go voluntarily in the next six months. In the meantime, $25 a month gets me by on juice that tastes better, smells better, and doesn't turn my whole house yellow.
Another motivation is my son that is 5 months old.. I just can't imagine that I am touching him with this stinky yellow fingers ;) I quit smoking using "Tabex" pills.. after 3 days that feeling of having another cigarette has gone.
my dad quit at 44 (hes 50 now) after starting at 18. My grandpa smoked his whole life and died at 56, and my uncle (his brother) has done the same and smoked his whole life. my dad has much more energy and is a much skinnier, healthy person now that he has stopped and vapes instead.

Best bolognese ever for me was my ex's first attempt at lentils based sauce. Well spicy. The texture, the flavour...cows were genuinely envious.
If anyone is wondering, biltong is African jerky. That's hammond's filming on the road meal and I could dig it.

Growing up on a farm in Cornwall with Chickens, Bantams, Ducks, Geese.. (Other LIVESTOCK et) I totally agree with Richard re FRESH EGGS!! 👍The colour, the yolks... ! We had livestock slaughtered and butchered.. so the freezers always had a variety of meats and cuts apart from pheasant, poultry et We also because we lived on the coast with our own beach area... freshly caught crab... fish such as Mackerel, Sea Bass, Pilchards et et 👍When I stay at my sisters, I do agree with you re M'sons supermarket.. for their acceptable cuts of meat..

Hammond, if you ever fancy trying another pad thai recipe, check out Pailin’s Kitchen. Her authentic street pad is the best ever, and even you can make it work. Yes, still a gazillion ingredients, but it is orders of magnitude better than any restaurant... with the exception of Bangkok street stalls.
Have all three (James, Richard and Jeremy) go on an adventure!
