  • (ciro589m here) My dad got these brand new 2-Way Teufel speaker for curiosity at a pretty good discount (300 euros). Nothing to say more than they sound very pleasant with a very good punch and crisp trebles. They need a lot of power (minimum requirement of 50w RMS to make them move) as they're not very efficient (just 86dB).
They're actually speakers made for home Theater systems to be used as "satellites", but they're fine even used as standard 2way bookshelf speakers. Just keep in mind that they don't get THAT low on bass, they're more on punchy bass.
Woofer driver is an high-excursion 6" with Kevlar cone and rubber surround, barely moves with low volumes, pretty stiff driver.
Tweeter driver is a 1" horn-loaded silk dome tweeter. Yes, that horn looks like a midrange driver even tho it actually just an horn made to look like a driver. The horn makes the tweeter to be more omnidirectional but the "midrange looking" thing it's here just for an aesthetic choice.
I love the design, that little stand makes the speaker to look like very good. Under it there's a downfiring bass port that never has port noises, even on very high volumes with high excursions.
    Song is Deadmau5 - Avaritia
