I forgot to tell you the market experience in Iquitos Peru but there was a fisherman with a catfish that he had by both hands held in the fishes mouth behind his head and it was just a few inches from the ground ; I estimate that the fish was a solid 4’ long . The fishes head was almost as wide as the man’s shoulders I was impressed and shocked at the same time .
That was just sick the way you and Ty were getting into those huge Payara the way you were. You both collab very well together to make excellent videos. I can't wait until the next one. Because knowing you, you will end up getting one of those giant Paraiba catfish. Thank you so much for sharing.

11:10 that fish was like a mix between a pike and a salmon. Never seen that fish before.
Sweet vampire fish too, I've seen a ton of them caught on TV, never any that big tho.

I have kept the bicuda before in my aquariums... there are at least 3 different species and they are all Characins like all the species of piranha, the Hydrolycus armatus (payara), and the wolffish... also the tiny stuff like neon tetras and other small tetras are all in that same family of fishes... even the 5 different African Tigerfish species are in the Characin family...
@@zekethefishgeek8690 I could definitely tell it was a different subspecies or variation, I generally saw them in the 3-6lb range. I'm sure there's regional variations too kinda like how stripers will be bigger in the NE or the fl strain of largemouth are bigger

I dont know if it's how it's edited or if it's just that mental there, but every cast was a fish it seemed! That's absolutely freaking mental!

I definitely made it more action packed, but honestly not by much. The main thing that got cut out was the boat driving. We spent 1.5 hours to get to the falls.
