The good news about covenant stones: They cost only 50 stones to unlock all the way through. for 300 total per general. The bad news, especially for Agrippa, is that you don't get any attack buffs until the last two covenants, and the total number of attribute points is very high. Covenants go in stages, 6 in all. You need to unlock all of them in order. There are 2 types of Covenants: One that is effective to that general, and the other that takes effect unconditionally, account wide. Agrippa's first Covenant is account wide, a 5% gathering buff. Covenants require Covenant Stones to unlock, and a certain amount of attribute points to activate. Attribute points are the 4 statistics every general has: Leadership, Attack, Defense and Politics. You can unlock as many of the Covenant levels as you want, even if you do not have all of the generals. You do not need all of the generals to activate them, you need the following amount of attribute points: Level 1: 10,000 Level 2: 12,000 Level 3: 14,000 Level 4: 16,000 Level 5: 19,500 Level 6: 22,500 You can get attribute points by raising your generals' levels, increasing the number of stars they have, ascending those stars, adding a dragon and other buffs, such as the victory column. For example, if you were to ascend your Covenant general to a full 10 stars, get him to level 45 and have only 1 other general, who you likewise maxed out, but do not have the other 2 generals, you would likely be able to activate up to Covenant level 3. The more generals you have, the easier it is to activate even higher levels as with 4 generals, you would need an average of 4,625 points to activate Level 5 and an average of 5,625 points to activate Level 6. By comparison, with 3 generals, you would need an average of 7,500 attribute points to activate Level 6, which might be possible for someone with maxed out dragons on all 3 generals and a very high-level Victory Column but is realistically impossible for most players. More is better. Another Point: You need to have your generals active to keep those attribute points. If you deactivate a general, either selling him, or perfectly dismissing him/her, you lose the attribute points that general contributed to the Covenant. For example, my current Agrippa's Covenant: Agrippa and Gaius Octavius are level 1 generals, nothing has been cultivated. Marc Antony is ascended to his 9th star, and I don't have Caesar. This gave me 5,919 attribute points. I did have a Caesar token. I activated him, and the attribute total went up to 6,408. I perfectly dismissed him, and the total went back down to 6,919. Just reactivating Caesar and raising him, Octavius and Agrippa to level 24 raised the attribute total to 9,047. Raising Agrippa to 5 stars brought the attribute total to 10,360, activating the Level 1 Covenant, All Resources Production 5%. As the number of existing covenant generals increases, this will lead to interesting decisions as to which generals you need to keep. The notion of having the same number of Baibars and Quenn Jindeoks as you have marches, when you need other generals to activate Covenants, might need reviewing. Raising Octavius to 5 stars raised the attribute total to 11,670. Caesar: 5-star Caesar raised the attribute total to 12,980, activating the Level 2 attribute, exclusive to Agrippa, of Ranged Troop and Siege Machine HP 5%. Now, that is with one general ascended to the 9th level (4 red stars), level 45, with little cultivation work (+19 to +30) and 3 level 24 generals at 5 stars, no cultivation work. NOTE: Your results WILL vary depending on whether you have a Victory Column and if you do, its level. Also, the Covenants all have names, from 1-6: War Covenant, Cooperation Covenant, Peace Covenant, Faith Covenant, Honor Covenant, and Civilization Covenant. These names have seemingly no connection to what abilities are granted from the covenants, save that the best attacking buffs are near the bottom, but the generals to with active Covenants have a varied assignment of buffs. Feel free to use this info, Aka or anyone.
Thanks for all these useful info. I want to wait a little before going crazy with these covenant. Maybe other generals would offer better buffs that can also be my Senate officers? we can only open few since we've got limited slots for generals.
John Hunyadi has been compatible with everyone I tried him with ranged and siege. Alfred, Mihai, Henry V, Louis, Tomyris, Gnar, Zucca, Raimondo, etc...
Ive been using Alfred since the beginning and only have 3 stars (F2P) and switching generals costs a lot of runestones, crystals, etc. But this guy is such a step up it might be worth using my general tokens to get more copies. I already use Elanor as my assistant.
Yeah, you’re right. It does cost an awful lot to switch generals, especially if you have put in a lot of work on the general you currently have. But when you feel you are in a position that you can afford to change, that would be cool 👌. You could always move the old general to the Senate
I'm in the same situation with Elektra. I have her maxed out and, as a very small spender, it would be difficult to change away from her as my main. I did switch assistants from Kaguya to Mihai.
crap, the glory general event evnded the day before this video so i couldn't get 3 more copies of him to ascend stars. BUt i realized his stats with 5 stars still beats my Alfred at 3 red stars. Crazy@@aiwilson95
Another great video, mate. Thank you. I haven't seen a similar comparison with our general (grounds march). Is this already on our to-do list? A review of Evony Ground general statistics and general compatibility options?
Thanks 😊🙏 About the skin, I don’t have any skins so I can’t confirm first hand, but what people have told me is that the skin’s attributes apply irrespective of the general you are using. So technically even if you have the Douglas skin, the buffs would still apply even if you were using Marcus, for example 🤷♂️
@@RedEvony Idk, on elektra's skin for example it says 'use to activate range troop attack w/Dragon 10%', and same for elise's, it sounds weird to me that it applies for any general, but I can't confirm it cause I don't have any skin.
@@dolodynamite7100 mostly one with more march size, and probably better covenant, or compatible with more generals as well. I have Conrad as my assistant and would have to change him as well
Yeah, there’s no rush. Marcus is definitely good, but no harm holding out for a bit to see what comes up. Personally I wish his covenant attributes were a bit stronger 😅. They are decent though 😇
When active, the covenant buff turns green. It also indicates whether or not if it applies to the main general, or all of the generals that form the covenant.
About the compatibility: let me try to break it down: 1. General's main skills are different: When leading the army to attack, to reinforce, to defend the city, to defend outside of the city... all they work in specific cases. All they can use the same skill book. Example: Roland with his skill +Mounted attack when leading to attack !!! can use Mounted attack skill book. 2. The basic skill is just "When leading the army" and it works in any case - attack, defence, buildings , wall, reinforcement, anytime, anywhere. Skill books are the same - basic. For this reason generals with basic main skill can't use basic skill book. Example: Martinus and his skill +Mounted Attack when leading the army !!! He cannot use Mounted attack skill book. In case he is an assistant, the main general cannot use it. 3. Generals with the same skills are not compatible. Generals with different skills are compatible. For example Roland (when leading to attack) is not compatible with Napoleon (when leading to attack) but both are compatible with Martinus (when leading - basic). 4. Exceptions: some general skills are "special" and they are compatible with similar generals. For example - Maximilian - his skill is considered as debuff, he is compatible with all mounted generals. - Alessandra - her skill is considered as March size and she is compatible with most of the ground generals. - - Trajan's buff is lower than the skill book and he can use it. Zhao Yun is also "special". Theodora as well. 5. Best combinations: Attacking general+special general. You get buffs from both + skill book I hope this info is helpful and you will understand how the skills works together! Good luck and have fun! STIL#597 P.S. Aka, make a video and explain all this. Most of the people never read the comments.
Eleanor is my assistant too but debating switching. Have Gnarr as main almost at 10 stars. I know, Gnarr isn’t great. Easy to get frags. Attack is above 1400%, could be so much higher I could have Godfrey with 2 red stars or Agrippa with one but I’m tired of wasting ares
Gnarr is fine. I used him as my ranged assistant for a while until I got Eleanor, so no problem using him 👌. Ascending premium generals can be tough, so completely understandable if you go for more practical options
Hello all my server is 40days old and i just got 2 marcus agrippa right now i dont have a range general so am wondering if i should make marcus my main for range
Hi and welcome to the game 😊👋 Well, there are a number of ways to get fragments / general tokens in the game, but the best 2 ways are - 1. From Champions (which can take a lot of time); 2. From Coining (which is the quickest, but costs money 😅) Basically, whenever you get these general tokens, you need to save them up until you come across a general you really want 👌

Eleanor and Edward III best assistants for Marcus Agrippa. March size has to go on Eleanor, Range Defense on Edward III
He has same pairings as douglas, charles, mihai, conrad, simeon

Oh! Awesome info 😃🙏
And the range attack book can be used
Do you know anything about Covenant Stones? You showed that you have 317. I thought only 50 was needed. Why is 317 not very much?
Need 50 per level
How do you feel about pair him with John hunyadi?
He does pair with Hunyadi. And Hunyadi does take a range attack book.
Marcus is also not compatible with Simeon
He is compatible with Edward III
Oh! That’s awesome info 😃
Edwards is a good option
Thanks 😊🙏
How did you get Marcus fragment
General Tokens I had saved up 😉
@@RedEvony how do get the general tokens
There are several ways, but the best are buying packs and leveling up your Champions.
For me, I saved up a lot of the tokens I got from my champions 👌

Marcus is not compatible with Kaguya
