Yes, it's finally here, easily my most requested video as of late, Duck Life 4! The fourth installment of the ever popular Duck Life series was quite ambitious, boasting many more shakeups to the formula than any of its predecessors. But did Wix Games manage to pull off a Duck Life with such a grand scope? Well according to me as a kid, yes definitely, but it's about time I give it the ol' FGR treatment! Along with its... conflicting Unity remake.

8:57 thank you for calling out that one annoying duck in the glacier world, I (coincidentally) played through DL4 only last month and he was also the only duck I never beat in the game, I actually tried to train another duck just to beat him but gave up and completed the game without beating him and without using the other duck I got just for him ever again lol.
So glad Sean Time traveled from 2025 to bring us the Duck Life 4 review
Now what? Out of nowhere, Sean is going to do the Duck Life 5: Treasure Hunt review in 2030? (Now that’s like waiting for like GTA 6, but 5x worse)

The ultimate version of duck life.
for the swamp training's last minigame, getting the duck to go head first into the water nets you the best depth ontop of the perfect timing, you don't have to constantly hold space when it says to hold space, as when you stop pressing space, the duck stops turning.
The Peep and the Big Wide World references are appreciated

Seeing these Duck Life reviews, aka games I've never played, gave me an idea to reccomend you this one flash game series, which would be neat if you reviewed!
The Snail Bob series! I remember playing them as they released, and also replaying them a bunch, seeing you review a bunch at once, like 3 Snail Bob games per review, would be amazing!

This in my opinion is the gold standard of a flash game, it was the definitive duck life.
I remember computer lab in school going onto cool math, This was the game that was amongst the Pantheon such as the Run Games, Balloons Tower Defense 1, 2 and 3, Bloxorz, fireboy and water girl, redball, IQ ball, the papas pizzeria games and of course, the worlds hardest game.
OHMYGOSH IT FINALLY CAME OUT!!!! Ever since you made that first video about this series, I've really gotten more deep into these games beyond just simple knowledge (and liking Treasure Hunt??? 😭), so I salute you Seany, and good luck on Treasure Hunt (it's not that good).

The duck life 4 remake is better known as Duck Life 2013, Duck Life Treasure Hunt is the last Duck Life game to have a flash version
Another thing about Duck Life 2013 is that at one point it had a flying 4 but it was removed for some reason also the boosting, increased max level and some of the sound effects actually originated in Duck Life space
Also Duck Life 2013 has it’s own set of glitches which I have made videos about if anyone is interested such as the B.U.F glitch

The game about forcing a duck to be the best racing duck
This game has its obvious flaws, but it still has so much good stuff in it! Still my favorite (flash) Duck Life game to this day (or DuckLife, in this case? Wix games were very inconsistent with the spacing of their titles in the flash days lol).
I never understood why most people seem to have so much difficulty with the pogo stick jumping training. It's probably on purpose tho since I can get dozens of experience points in jumping in one go just by going far in that minigame lol
My favorite song here is BY FAR the jumping training theme, so groovy! Very underrated compared to the Glacier and swimming training themes imo. Idk why but the composer for the Duck Life games REALLY went all in for the DL3 and 4 soundtracks. The music in newer games is honestly worse than in those 2 games imo, which is a bit of a bummer.
I also experienced that glitch that lets you level up over level 150, and from what I've seen it's purely visual. Another funny glitch I experienced is that the larger hats (like the cone and the viking hat) actually have a hitbox during minigames, making some of them impossible (specifically the third jumping minigame and the climbing risk minigame)
About the remake... yeah the graphics suck. Of course I'm biased to the original graphics since I grew up with them, but damn... even then, the remake just looks DISGUSTING. It looks so childish and cheap in an artificial way, not in a charming way. The new music sucks too, it's composed by a completely different, random person instead here, and the fact that they changed those specific tracks seems so random and weird. They changed the unique coin sound to a generic Mario coin sound too, wtf?? I don't care about any of the new features since I feel like the cons outweigh the pros here, this is unironically a 0/10 remake. Not as bad as Retro Pack on Steam tho lol
