There's no way this is the '80s, 80s animation was slightly better from the '60s and '70s, but it still looked relatively cheap and stiff (especially TV commercials at the time) either they had a higher budget than usual or some really talented people were on board that day.
For a long time, it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It is a constant reminder of how unfair this world can be. I can still hear them taunting him. "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!" WHY COULDN'T THEY GIVE HIM THE DAMN CEREAL?!
@Interstate 20-11 I agree, I always felt bad that the kids were not sharing the Trix with the rabbit. However, someone else mentioned that maybe the reason they're not sharing it with him is because, they're looking out what's best for him where fruity things is not something a rabbit should eat where rabbits should be eating vegetables. If that's true, there should be rules with vegetables towards kids where the rabbit should say "silly kids, vegetables are for rabbits" haha.

There must be another reason where the only reason I can guess is that kids and adults don't like to share.
