Live, it's their song with the best audience participation - that riff is amazing.
Classic Bridear. No matter what lineup this band comes out as they should be massive. So much talent. Great hook in this one. Thanks Ryan
People in the UK, France and Germany! Go and watch them play in around two weeks!
I replayed those solos 3 times before getting to your your replay of them, they know how to play for sure. Excellent musicianship all around. The bass and drums sounded really solid in the background. I must check our more of their tunes. 👍🎸
Bridear will also be the first Japanese band to tour the EU and UK for the second time in the past year. Their London show will be recorded for a first time ever live album by them.
Fiiirst! :p
I love this song, great solo 🤘🏻
Thank you Ryan
I'm so early that the video is still at 360p 😆
@@2abug its like 2012 CZcams all over again...
Groovy riff 🤘
This is a great song. Awesome riffs and solos. Just bought a few of their CDs recently to add to my collection. 🤘
Love Bridear and their music, both the older incarnation here and the current one. Travelling down from North Scotlnd to see them at Glasgow in 6 days time. Saw them there last October as well and the performance was great. Shout out to the ladies for coming to Scotland a lot of foreign band seem to only do England, sometimes only London. I suspect that is what Band-Maid will do when they come to the UK
Such a classic Bridear song. The one that introduce me to all Bridear songs.
Bridear is tight! Very accomplished playing, I really like their epic songs like Brave New World Revisited and Side of a Bullet.
I'm going to have to listen to more BRIDEAR. It's nice to have two lead guitarists in a band. I like that they have a solid rock base to their metal.
This is maybe the first or second song I ever heard by the including Light in the Dark. I immediately had to find and get their entire catalog. This is just a great radio friendly song that is great all around and I never get tired of listening to it. I am glad you came back to them. No such thing as too much Japanese music to listen to.
@P in D² Ghoul, Greed even Dear Bride. Did I say that out loud 🤣. I think his playlist is too full to go with Velvet Sighs just yet.
@@ramair3judge dear Bride, not for me. That turn was blah.
@@tackle47 I like TRiDENT "Splash" as well. Don't hold it against me.
@P in D² I was curious if Ryan would check out Hagane's Blackcult too.
This song goes on every play list I make. Great song!! 🤘
Really glad to hear this song on your channel. I’m with you… why haven’t I been listening to this band? I am now. 🤘
If you're in the UK, come and see them over the next few weeks!! Not well advertised, but should be awesome.
My favorite Bridear song. The first time I heard it, I listened to it for at least an hour straight in repeat... It's that good. Oh, and I still get shivers towards the solo. It just hits right!
There is a live version with their most update to date lineup.
Bridear - excellent band. I'm really enjoying their latest album Aegis of Athena. Three other bands you might like to check out - Toranoko Rammy latest MV : 虎の子ラミー『阿呆w』 ; Ark Royal "Vengeance" ; Little Lilith / Graffiti
Little Lilith last EP is really good indeed (and a huge change in music genre, heavier).
Bridear rules. their sound can vary a lot but always great. the old stuff tends to be heavier, check out Light in the Dark. for new stuff Bloody Bride is awesome, newest video I think is Determination, great song but heard it gets blocked a lot
The guitarist that took the 1st solo was actually right up there with Saki as my favorite. Misa still makes music but now more singer/songwriter style. She has a beautiful voice. Misa was also a real asset to a Japanese band making it in the West, as her English is amazing. Earlier Bridear is my favorite as it is heavier. Light in the Dark is a monster song.
I know her English was great, but when Mitsu left that was really a bummer. That smile was infectious but at least she's still making music also.
@@rogermoore5764 Mitsuru had by far the most kawaii speaking voice in metal. That pair was great.
@@tackle47 So true.
That riff, awesome, almost dislocated a 63 year old hip having a bop 🤣 So much talent, thanks Ryan, peace and love Po 👍🍻
This band is awesome.
Another Japanese band that is criminally underrated.
Bridear really is good. This is the song that got me started. I bought their newest CD because a UK company that also distributes in the US sells it and I was able to get it at a fraction of the cost of importing it from Japan. Ray of Chaos and Side of a Bullet are the standouts for me on that album.
Side note, I went to go see Alice in Chains live last night. I was very happy with the show. I wasn't sure if I would like their singer, but I think he did a really good job stepping into the shoes of a legend.
I saw them some time ago with Duvall. It was GREAT! Check out Comes With The Fall. Duvall's band previous to AIC. It is fucking great!
My suggestion for more Bridear is a deep cut called. "Dream Eater".
Agradeço pelo react da Bridear, a banda mais injustiçada do Japão, e a minha favorita. Tks por reconhecer o talento e a ótima música da banda.
You're welcome
Yes, they are awesome. I think I posted an earlier version of this on your last reaction, but there have been some lineup changes, so here is an updated history of the band:
One of the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands, founded in 2011. They go hard and heavy, and epitomize the technical side of Japanese rock bands. Here is the original lineup:
Kimi-Vocals
Haru-Bass, growls
Misa-Guitars, growls
Mitsuru-Guitars (pink flying V)
Kai-Drums
In 2019, Kai left to start a family, Misa left to pursue her own musical vision, Mitsuru soon followed, and they had to bebuild. Amazingly, they did so without any loss in quality, finding Misaki and Ayumi on Guitar, and Natsumi, formerly of Telecide, to take over on drums (after a brief trial with another drummer).
Second Lineup:
Kimi-vocals
Haru-bass, growls/metal vocals
Misaki-Guitar, audience left
Ayumi-Guitar, audience right
Natsumi-Drums
I saw them live in London just after this lineup came together, and they were explosive, playing mostly stuff from the original lineup. They have experimented with a variety of styles, dabbing in progressive and pop, but they still come back to their metal roots. In “Brave New World Revisited” (czcams.com/video/_6-OXcyMkYI/video.html) they’ve got a masterpiece. It’s also a tour-de-force for their brilliant young guitarist Ayumi. With work like this, they should re-emerge into the top tier of Japanese bands.
In early 2022, Misaki, who suffers from severe stage fright, left the band for health reasons, and they scrambled to find a new co-lead guitarist. They have been joined by Moe, and their first release with her on board showcases some great dual shredding between her and Ayumi. Hopefully this lineup will last!

Are You going to see them in two weeks? They will be playing in the UK, Paris and Düsseldorf.
Finally someone else acknowledges Dime's influence on the sisters!
This is probably the most underrated j metal band out there. So damn good and talented.
Bridear just for sheer bloody hard work and determination oh and a lot of talent and ambition deserve to make some success. Old Bridear or the newer version always pushed themselves, i prefer the newer stuff of the last three albums but i really hope they finally get a break, to sort of use an old cliche "if they didn't have bad luck they would have no luck at all"
I really loved that phase of Bridear. Although Brave New World is my favorite song of them, I usually prefer their stuff from back then. Remedy is another masterpiece, unfortunately no music video for it, but still worth listening to/watching:
czcams.com/video/AxqF9SCXQi8/video.html (Audio only)
czcams.com/video/GN-mbhQATs8/video.html (Instrumental guitar playthrough by Misa, one of their old guitar players)
Every note of this song rocks! I'll even go as far to say that this song is better than anything BAND-MAID has ever done (and I love BAND-MAID)!
Ryan says Pantera..... guitar Squeels.
Love this track with the previous lineup. Guitar sections sound great and heavy, and the solo parts are so good.
Did you listen to their last album (Aegis of Athena)? It is really good.
With the previous lineup (like this one), you should really try "Light in the Dark", the chorus line is catchy as Hell!
And you could also try the recent ones: "Ghoul" and "Road" (Road composed by Natsumi, the drummer). Both of these are 🔥 !
so the lady on the right ....who added the bluesy sound to her solo is Mitsuru .....she is an absolute beast on guitar ! shes currently in another project called MADASEKA . you should really check out the song called Reincarnation . czcams.com/video/zB2n2Qz3ni8/video.html
The music was amazing.. loved it.. the beginning growl vocal wasn’t my fave.. catchy music
Ryan, Mitsuru the guitarist with the vee in this video is active with her own project where she plays with guest vocalist. I think you would appreciate her solo riffage and playing in this one. czcams.com/video/dU1-pOO0pi4/video.html
She would difficult to find her channel without some help as it is in Japanese.
Their new album and current lineup are so much better than even this. Natsumi on drums is a perfect fit. Haru stays off the harsh vocals for the most part now. Ayumi’s split lead work is so underrated. Screw a reaction, just buy it. (Aegis of Athena).
Cool song, but after Akane Hirose not any drummer can fulfill my inner hunger for God-rilla style, and this is not even a bad player.
I have the theory that Kanami told A-chan to not take the spotlight on Unleash!!!!! or else it would be all bananas everywhere as in UW. She still did some amazing drum rolls here and there though, can't control a beast 🤘🕊️
What the fuck, I mean I love Band Maid but this has nothing to do with them.
Fair point
Give Natsumi (current Bridear drummer) a chance. She’s absolutely awesome.
Natsumiは最高です。
