Much as I admire Kaushiki Chakraborty, I have to say that the technical finesse in this performance robs the composition of feeling. Listen to the Bade Ghulam Ali Khan rendition and decide for yourself.

A song is only happen once even by the original singer. Rest everybody then keeps trying, which is also fine and good.
😅How can you compare anyone to Bade Ghulam ! He and Bhimsen Joshi were the ultimate rockstars . KC is arguably the best lady Indian classical singer. Prabha Atre is no more now

Was this Goddess Saraswati performing 'Aaja Balam Paradesi' on earth? And what measured as well as sober tabla accompaniment . Also, a listener needs a lifetime of a dedication to be able to listen to such harmonium accompaniment.
