People are somehow blaming Araujo and De Jong...
The real ones to blame are Cancelo and Lewandowski
The guy literally failed to mark Dembele for the first goal, and then fouls him for the pen
And Lewandowski missed a simple chance the first half, just so he could hit it with power...
No to mention how selfish the guy is completely ignoring Felix on the left when it's a 3v2

To say Barca were better than PSG before the sending is wrong. I would say that PSG had the better of it before the sending off. PSG more dominant on the ball and pressing high. Barca did have a few chances but were not the protagonists.
How all of sudden is it acceptable to concede possession at home to PSG? If Barca had have played like PSG did before the sending off Barca fans would’ve said Barca were doing great pressing high and playing with purpose. Sitting back at home from the start of game is unacceptable.

Also you can see it from the expressions on everyone's faces:
In the previous CLs there was a sense of defeat, there was a sense of "Yeah it is just my job" or "Well cnat do anything about it".
Yesterday you look at Rafinha, Cubarsi, Araujo, Yamal and everyone else - you can see regret - you can see the regret that THEY WERE GIVING IT THEIR ALL and still lost and it HURTS.

De Jong could have moved to centre back of which he could play, then Raphina would drop to midfield allowing Lewandolski and Yamine to strike. This reminds me of the 2018/2019 season. After the first leg against Liverpool when Barça fans thought that we were finally going to win the Champions League against the dark horse of the tournament, Ajax, but instead both teams were knocked out.
Now again, the same feeling was there amongst Barcelona fans. That is, Barcelona can finally reach the final after securing an expected win against Atletico Madrid, and maybe pull of a crazy win in the final. Guess what? Both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid failed to qualify to the next stage.
As an experienced Barcelona fan, I will tell you that having your expectations low is better. It will not be difficult to swallow these kind of defeats. In the end, we are the specialist of losing out on advantages and this is another one of those chapters.

    > Araujo should not have made the tackle a the first place.
    > Cancelo is not good at defending at all.
    > We have mediocre forward line, Ferran, Raphinha and Felix cannot be counted upon to be turn around important matches.
Even Yamal is better than all of them, at this age.
    > Lewa is ageing, and should be played as a Rotational player.
    > We don't have a world-class Holding midfielder.
    > Fermin is a great player, and should have started the match, even if it means to have four midfielders.
    > I have always supported Xavi, but I think we need someone experienced, who plays more on the edge, like Pep or Klopp.

The team was doing very well in this matchup, all things considered, and was on way to make it to the Semis (after making the QF's for the first time in so long). Some close and unlucky decisions changed everything, but with a few adjustments (like a real pivot) - this team will definitely win the CL in the near future. The young, homegrown core is the key. Nurture them and build around them.

I mean it's quite obvious what went wrong and that it was Araujo's messup on the red card. But the other issue we need to mention is how Xavi continuously loses his head and it gets infected into the team. Always blaming the referee, constantly getting sent off, and you could see how that affected the team, the morale was already down and Xavi just made it worse. it's pure immaturity from Xavi time after time, and it's a good thing he announced his leave, hopefully he learns to be better as a man manager and keep his cool and gain experience. We need someone who displays calmness as the coach, someone who doesn't let his emotions control him everytime a decision doesn't go in his favour.

That ref is a POS thats what happened. I dont blame the team for this at all and they should keep their heads up high because they showed up this time, unlike in previous years. That ref is a joke, and he single handedly destroyed this game.

Blame the players & the coach for the loss, Ref was on spot with the Red cards.

It is not about tactics. It is a combination of a club that is broke financially who put a huge unbearable pressure on an inexperienced coach with a bunch of 16 year olds and almost retiring players to win this game or else the club will in more financial trouble. You don't do that

Very simple. Get rid of FDJ and Ferran and some other useless players and buy a solid DM and Bernardo. Hopefully whoever replaces Xavi fixes the mental aspect if the game, yesterday's game could have and should bave been managed better even after the red card, we were leading by 2 goals at that point! Instead the whole squad went into a meltdown alongside our leader Xavi who couldnt even keep a cool head.

Brutal but true analysis on Araujo, Cancelo, De Jong and Lewandowski. Especially on De Jong - I must admit, I have been in the camp of those who thought that he could be a world class CDM, but you are right, after all these years, I have to concede, he's not it. Brilliant playmaker, No. 8, Regista, but not the defensive lynchpin we need. How I salivate 🤤 over Rodri right now. How did we let him leave Valencia all those years ago?
