Nice perspective, reminds me how the Police were when I was a kid. Interacting with us exactly like this video showed. When they patrolled our area they would call us by name and sometimes even bought us ice cream in the summer. Wish I could remember his name, I do know he retired. Cheers to the Miami Police!!

I can remember growing up when the police officers in my city would take time out of their day to talk to us and throw a football or even shoot a few hoops. The positive impact into the community building relationships between police officers, youth and adults is priceless. Keep up the amazing work at the City of Miami.

I was in a police exploring program in high school and always enjoyed going on ride alongs with the female officers. Always had a lot of laughs. Looks like I need to move to Miami. All the officers, including the men, look great. Presentable, uniforms fit correctly, all of the women are attractive (and so are the men, I gotta say (no homo)). The officers around my area all look like they just woke up from a night out at a bar. A very, very bad bar.

nice Lt, are they regular picture frames or are they shadow boxes?
The badges are shadow boxes, the patches are in frames. I purchased the frames from Bed Bath and Beyond I believe and then felted the backers with felt from Joanne Fabric. Then I painstakingly placed them on to the backers using a measurement formula which would make all of the frames look uniform. It was a pain in the rear, but WAY cheaper than having them done. Then you have to make sure there is no lint, finger prints, or dust on the inside of the glass or on the felt. But when they are done, it’s a real sense of accomplishment. They came out so well I ended up doing some for other people. My brother, my Major, etc...... I also did the Olympic pins. It’s like I hobby I hate doing is the only way I can explain it.
