i recommend a channel on youtube called Real World Police, it shows exciting stuff like Live PD etc does but also shows footage of sort of the regular tasks of officers anything from investigating crashes to dealing with domestics etc, the videos are usually left mostly unedited too so you get a full insight, it's my fav channel on this site by far.
We definitely need more ride-along vlogs, these are entertaining!

When I was in Elementary a classmate had an Accident, she was a colored girl, she hit her head on a metal bar and was bleeding on the grass, 2 white officers came to her Aid, until ems could get to her, so I saw one of the officers hold her hand and stroke her on the side of her head, saying repeatedly she was going to be okay, she responded to the officer why he was being Nice when She's dark skinned, the officer responded to her, Sweetie your color doesn't change your injury or the fact your a child, he was tearing up to see a little innocent child bleed out, he kept petting her head to make her stay awake so that ems would get there to wrap up her injuries, I was like 7 years old at the time, I knew since then that Police Are Amazing, and there's Always going to be Bad and Good people but I Believe God finds ways to make the bad people change for Good!!! So I will Probably Always See Cops as Good Hearted Individuals, No One in the world is Perfect, but Jesus said to be like him and if my enemy needed food, to feed thy enemy, because only He that is in heaven can judge Anyone for their sins!!! Every Police officer needs Prayers of Protection, Prayer of Guidance, Prayers of Stability and Happiness!!! 😊 They're Gods children too like Everyone else 😎

I've had the pleasure of going on a ride-along with Officer Ditty and had a great time. Jack has a wealth of knowledge about the job and the City of Chico. It was great to see how much Jack loves his job and how much he cares about the community. Keep up the good work!

I wish more departments were able to do this type of activity. It would really help the public supportively recognize and bond with officers. Good job ladies and gentleman thank you for your service.

Choose whether you want most people to look forward to seeing you turn up, or not. And if you choose fire, prepare to be super hot, sweaty & smelly a lot! (Turnout gear stinks!)
If Ditty were growing up today he'd be pulling people over in LSPDFR and roleplay talking to them when he walked up to their window just to make it more realistic

@@gamerlass94ttvyt59 I'm 33 and play LSPDFR. My comment was directed towards what Ditty said regarding playing cops and robbers as a kid. No kids play cops and robbers today when they can play LSPDFR, which let's be real, gives you a LOT more of the LEO experience. That's a bit of a sad truth though because cops and robbers built friendships, social skills, and undoubtedly was great exercise! I'm not sure that closing yourself off from the world to play LSPDFR as a kid in your bedroom in place of that is so healthy.

Really got an End of Watch vibe out of this (all good vibes) and this is really what the community and nation needs to see. Very personable individuals serving their communities, understanding the inherent risks the come along with it and knowing that, at any point and time, shit can get real, but also be rather mediocre. It’s not all car chases and shootings like the movies. I enjoyed this video, and hope to see more of these in the future, getting to know the different outlooks on officers and their approach to serving their community. Thanks!

My first call solo was an alarm call as well...Well primary called for an assist because of an open door and I helped cleared the building. 5 years later I still remember and actually remember the layout of the building lol
I've done several ride alongs in the town we live in. You learn so much about what Police work is like. I found it's really different then I thought. I rode with two different agencies and every one I road with was just regular people
They were all just out to help the citizenry. And, I've got to say they were so funny. Enjoyed your ride can't wait for the next one.

@@chicopolicedepartmentcalif2995 Yes I know how some treat ya'll very bad, my husband was a police officer he died in '85 even then they treated cops with a little more respect than they do now. times are changing, I had been stopped 2 times in my life and at 72 have never had a ticket, just warnings. I've noticed that quite a number of agencies have an "in-house" attitude towards car washes.. they supply basic scrubs, hoses, soap and such for the officers to use and manually wash their own police cruisers. This may be slightly more cost-effective than using a public car wash service, but man.. nothing says "police presence" more than pulling your ride into a full service car wash to have its belly scrubbed.
They went through the drive thru... not full service lol

always notice that when they talk to dispatch they "whisper" the codes can someone tell me why they do that.
Because some expert criminals know police codes, so if a criminal you stopped hears "10-99" he might take off or punch you in the face, good question
