- In the late 1980’s plans were drawn up by the Government for more emergency control points around the country. Nice time capsule there! Good to see 30 year old technology still ready to go as if it was yesterday.
I worked on this, the last time I walked around it was a concrete shell and upper concrete supports being poured, weird seeing the same interior completed.
Thanks lads ,have you been to kelvedon hatch it’s very good
Thanks Graham! We have yeah, there’s an article on our website about Kelvedon Hatch.
enjoying your vids but why are they so short
Amazing video :)
Nuclear bombs today are more powerful that the ones these bunkers were based on back in the 80's and would almost certainly not survive an attack. Thankfully they were never used, lets hope this continues ! An interesting video guys, keep up the brilliant films, always appreciated.
That was true even in 1990 - that's why the use of bunkers had greatly reduced even by that point. Many Councils didn't bother.
Well that's good to know. I know where I'm off to next year now, lol
Awesome! Are you able to rent out this place for content?
Do you know of any bunkers in southw Wales swansea or Ammanford
Very sensible …except for maybe flooding…might not work in that scenario
Haha true although I think the flood risk would be for the lower areas of the borough i.e. canvey
Interesting place, let's hope it's not needed anytime soon.🙄
