  • I interview Manush, the manager of my guesthouse in McLeod Ganj (East Home Apartments), about his duties such as dealing with the garbage, fighting monkeys and eating muffins. Another guest at East Home, Ben, gets slandered by Manush, and then we go on a hike to the village of Dharamkhot, where Ben interviews me and I make a haiku.
If anyone out there would like to stay at East Home Apartments, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with the manager (Manush, the guy seen in this video).
    Haiku about Dharamkhot:
    Mountain hippie town,
I wished that I belonged here,
    Time to go back home.
    Chapters:
    0:00 Intro (dogs & monkeys)
1:25 Talking to Manush about his job
4:13 Trash car & garbage disposal
6:28 Hike to Dharamkhot & interview
    8:36 Manush's room at night

Yes, I know many local people think it's very expensive. But actually, by US standards it's cheap. Also it was close to the place where I was working.
