- You’ll learn four methods to hem knit fabric that range from easy, to nearly invisible, to duplicating the same look you’ll find on professionally-made clothing.
You'll learn the best stitch adjustment to use on your sewing machine, how to stitch hems using a twin needle, and how to perform a blind hem stitch on knit fabrics. You'll also learn secrets for stabilizing hems on knits and other stretchy fabrics to obtain the best results!
No serger, overlock or coverstitch machine is necessary to do the hemming methods in this video. Just a regular sewing machine that's capable of a zig-zag stitch.

Hands down, compared to those of other sewists on CZcams, your instructions are the most thorough. Thank you so much.
Thank you - that's what I'm aiming for.
This was so wonderfully helpful! Please continue showing us things like this. Your explanations are clear and concise. Thank you!!
Thank you! And yes, I'm currently busy shooting the next video in this series!
Most thorough and beginner friendly I have seen! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the tips on sewing knits! Your explanations are clear and concise. I wish I had this info 6 months ago. Oh well, better late than never!
Glad it was helpful even if a bit late in your sewing journey!
Great video, remarkably thorough on the topic., as usual.
I will certainly refer back to it when dealing with knit fabric.
I would only ask why there's not backstitching but only the shortest of overlapping. Is it only a matter of producing a neat finish or are there some other cons to backstitching in those cases?
@@chiara71 Thank you! As regarding no backstitching, you're correct - it's mainly a matter of producing a neat finish on the outside of the garment.
Very informative!
Thank you!
Thank you!
