hello i have a question the power in my vstrom 650 2012 adventure was out... dash off, lights off, but the baterry is full... do not start... any suggestion?
Many causes, try to check the little cable under the clutch lever, the big cable on the left side of the bike has a big connection behind the left vstrom plastic, or the starter button housing might have corrosion so you need to open it on the right side of handle bar or check your fuses.

Changing the coolant looks like the easy part, I'm scratching my head trying to take off the front fairings.
EDIT; After founding out you just push in the center of the plastic rivets to release them it was easier.

With the rider stationary, how long does it take for the fan to turn on?
It depends on your ambient temperature but if yours is not turning on you need to check for the sensor.

Yes the same, its the same cooling system.

Thanks for your great video. I have the same bike like you and I ride many times in off road and I am tired to pull out the 25A fuse to disable the ABS.
I want to put a switch on/off button to do that but how I connect it on the fuse?

@@DrVstrom I read this article but it's too old. My v strom is an xt of 2017 and have miniature fuse. So no in Line fuse for it. It's not possible to cut fuse dire and under fuse box and connect the Switch ?

Hello Dr. Vstrom, I wanted to ask you a question. I bought blue Ipone radiator, apparently it is the same as the one you use, it tells me that it is ready to be used, without diluting it to 50℅. Do you think it will be harmful to the radiator if I use it undiluted? Phenomenal content and quality, greetings and thanks.

What kind of coolant to use? There's green, blue and red - which one is suitable for the V-strom?
Not all brands use the same colors. Suzuki blue is long lasting one. Always buy one for aluminum engines and motorcycles according to the specs on your manual and if possible try and get the longer lasting ones and premixed, glycol based. For instance the same brand might have a 2 year and a three year one. You will have to change it ideally every 1,5 to 2 years.

I read that there are some coolant that you should mix with water. Is that true? Or is it possible to fulfill only with coolant?
I never had a motorcycle that uses cooling fluid before so I have some doubts

Hello Marco, just buy pre mixed 50/50 coolant specifically for motorcycles and aluminum engines. If you want you can either get the Suzuki Ecstar one which is long life or the Ipone ligh blue as shown in the video. Both are tested and good.

Αν πουλήσεις ποτέ μηχανή θα ήθελα να την αγοράσω. Είμαι σίγουρος ότι θα είναι άριστη. Έχω VStrom αλλά δεν το προσέχω και πολύ, μένω σε διαμέρισμα και δεν έχω κάπου χώρο να ασχοληθώ.
