Bonus episode! The Traitors comes to its conclusion this week. Richard and Marina give their rundown on the series so far, and who could be walking away victorious...
I think that something that would make this show infinitely better for the audience is if one of the traitors was unknown to audience. There would have to be some production changes, voices muffled, blurred screen etc, but it would be much more immersive for us.
I'm not British and this podcast put me on to the Traitors UK. They are correct - it is the best gameshow. The castle, the knitwear and tartan, the coffins, the dungeon, the hubris then the downfalls. And all for a resonably average prize pool.
The advantage for a faithful to vote out traitors is that you may be recruited. You are far more likely to win the game as a traitor so by getting out traitors you increase the chance that you will be recruited and win the money.
Harry made a very big mistake telling Jaz and Zac his shield plan. When he trots that story out at breakfast I'm tipping those two will clock that Harry is a traitor.
I think Paul was amazing , played it so well … if the traitors do win he was a massive reason why I’m getting as many faithfuls out up to the end point. Swear Marina doesn’t like anyone with a big personality
Ah yes, "Doing a Bradbury." Also, would love your thoughts on the finale of the Traitors Australia S2. No spoilers here for those who haven't watched it, but would love your take on it.
Crucially by the way - I think Harry said that Diane needed to be *put in her place*. Which is exactly thing you say if you want to enrage someone’s son, even in a silly game.
I’ve realised my dedication to people in this show is a fickle mistress. I did want Harry to win but now I feel like he’s got too cocky and I want Ross to bring him down. Andrew needs Harry gone by the final or he hasn’t got a cat in hell’s chance. Either way, it’ll be a Traitor win. And just one traitor.
I feel like Jaz and Zach were cursed in past lives to have the gift of excellent critical thinking but have no one believe them. Like The Oracle of Delphi who no one listens to.
Speaking of the first Australian season, do either of you have the connections to find out what happened with the Paul edit? Of all the intrigue across all the iterations of Traitors, this is the most compelling mystery by far!
@@aaakkk112 the other theories I saw were 1. He was under some criminal investigation 2. His background in intelligence made it somehow necessary to minimize his screen time 3. He was too old/unattractive (his own words) 4. Some other on-set behavior (did something inappropriate, or otherwise upset production staff) 5. He was just boring And none of those really make sense either. So much speculation, but no evidence. It's wild! I hope Marina and Richard can get to the bottom of it.
Surely the format of the show is the voyeurism of watching people trying (and failing) to read other people? The format isn't trying to identify traitors, as described by Richard
Not entirely sure why the sex/gender of the recruited traitors is so pertinent it requires the thinly veiled implication of chauvinism at play? Aside from that, enjoyable breakdown of this season thus far and so glad TRIE recommended this show to me.
If only one of you could be honest about Barney Walsh. That man is not up to the job. Screams nepo cringe. Reminds me a lot of George Lamb. Charismatic father, unfortunately the gift has not been passed down. Don't want to be negative, just saying as I see it. You will you will

Isn't that the premise of The Mole?
If there was a podcast i needed more at this time. Its this!!!
I'm addicted to this show.

Love the podcast and love when Richard pulls back the TV curtain and talks about his producer buddies 👍
This is the episode I have been waiting for.
Thank you for this special episode!! I have been hoping to hear your thoughts on this season!

Yes, that was the moment we knew trouble was brewing.
I tuned in, thinking it was about the Irish government!
I tuned in thinking it was about all the people supporting convid passports...🤔

Good call Marina!
This is my new favourite podcast. I also think a traitor will win and I am choosing Andrew. Can't wait to find out.
I feel like Jaz and Zach were cursed in past lives to have the gift of excellent critical thinking but have no one believe them. Like The Oracle of Delphi who no one listens to.
Jaz and Zack are my favourites. I felt pain each time when they could not persuade others

Zack and Jaz to win!
You haven’t done a podcast after the final show to see if you were right ? Personally molly seems to be ghosting through the rounds( no spoilers )
Traitors bound to win this time...

Yes - especially those who boast about their abilities to read other people.
Good point

You will you will
I love these two but for me this is like people speaking Latin #IHateRealityTV
I hate reality TV too but this is something beyond, honest. Just great fun and everyone playing a game. It's almost an improvised drama.
