    Bruh. I just love the footage you created with this. I've seen examples of others using it, and they gave the impression it is a fairly meh lens, like Siriui or something clinical like that. Nope. The way you've used it here, it makes me drool. Fine, the bokeh shape is not typical anamorphic. But the distortion is so beautiful, and you found a way to exploit its beauty even more with your choice of lenses that you pair with it. Your channel if excellent. Gotta give credit to your family, too, who allow you to film them all the time. Keep it up, bro!

    Nice test Zeek. However face closeups looks compressed to me verically a bit too much. I will suggest you using diopters, since the sqeeze is not much constantly 1.33x across the entire focussing range. On most scopes when doing closeups the compression is less than the compression at infinity when not using diopter.

    • @ZeekEOSZ
      @ZeekEOSZ  Před 4 lety

      thank you :) Yeah Diopters are important, but they're expensive. I'll have to keep an eye out for some at a good price. Yes the compression does change for sure! Thanks for the comment!

    • @pixelgardendotin
      @pixelgardendotin Před 4 lety +1

      @@ZeekEOSZ You can find pretty much entire diopter set for like 10-15 usd on Ebay or Aliexpress. Vivitar or Zomei ones will be decent & more than sufficient. Those costly ones are mostly achromatic with better edge quality & isn't really required for a budget scope. +0.5 & +1 & +2 are the ones you will likely end up using the most, so keep an eye. Fractional ones are a bit costly & hard to find.

      Forced fps in camera or in MLV App? I use fps override only in MCM rewire and not the other modes, there is sound available. If I don't need the sound, then in MLV App I choose fps override which will remove audio.

    • @ZeekEOSZ
      @ZeekEOSZ  Před 3 lety

      It's mainly the glass, it has to be 40mm or less in diameter not the thread. So as long as that is followed, you will gett better results with less distortion.

    • @ZeekEOSZ
      @ZeekEOSZ  Před 3 lety +1

      No problem 👍
      40 version means you need lenses with smaller glass, 50 means you can use lenses that have no more bigger than 50mm glass diameter otherwise they will have distortion. I'd recommend the 50 for more lens choices. I'd suggest the Takumar Super Multi-coated 50mm F1.4 or 55mm, Pentacon 50mm F1.8, Nikkor Ai-s 50mm F1.4, all good vintage choices for S35. Sigma glasses are too big for taking lens, they usually have from threads of 72-77mm, whereas the back thread of these adapters are 60mm for the 40 and I think 67mm for the 50.

      It comes down to the taking lens I believe, non-coated vs coated. Pentacon 50mm F1.8 has nice flares. Canon nFD have multi coating, the s.c (single coating) versions should flare more.

      As long as the filter thread is 52mm it should fit, otherwise, no. 11-16mm will vignete too if the glass is too big. Glass needs to be less than 40mm [Diameter].

      They should be ".MLV" files which are only excepted in MLV App. Is that what they are? If you still can't, it's because from all the files you selected, the first copied file is not a .MLV Files, its]'s probably a .something else as well as .mlv. Try to copy only .MLV Files.

      Download it, extract it and then place the file on your SD Card. Update firmware in camera. You need to be in stills mode [camera Icon at the top dial].
