I would have been so grateful to be invited to this dinner, to have a mother who loved me enough to take the money, time, energy and effort into providing a nice holiday dinner for her family. I'm so sorry. I was right there with you. I spent the day by myself and had some ramen and a ham sandwich. It was just another day. I used to complain about all the work it took to cook Thanksgiving dinner but I didn't realize how much I'd miss those days. My Grandma, bless her heart wasn't a very good cook but she did make the best cherry cheesecake in the world, she'd make me one every year for my birthday, I sure miss it and her...I now have a son that I L❤VE to cook for, he works at a 5 Star restaurant here in Las Vegas and prefers my cooking ❤ everything he brings home from work, I have to re- do , " fix it up Momma way " and it brings me joy. He's 23 and eats like a dang horse but I love love love cooking for him. Makes me feel so good. I love seeing this Momma and her son together in the kitchen, brings me so much joy ❤❤

When my husband and I got our first place together, this is how we did holidays. We did with what we had and shared with anyone who popped through our door. We were only 18 and 20 so quite young with a baby but we made it happen and meals have gotten better over the years. Good on ya momma, Noone starves at mommas house!!!

I'm a single mom and it is a struggle financially and all the above but I love how this mom and son you can see the love they have for each other and how she always has his back and always make sure he comes first which is so nice to see on the internet.
