    the man compared him to kinda like crosby wooosh, habs making some splashes indeed, picking up 2 guys who know each other and played with each other since kids, already bringing a duo of chemistry to our franchise. i truely hope Canadian teams can make thier way back to winning cups, its been nearly 30yrs now, that was plenty of time to expand the game and create competition to the point we selected 2 slovakian players and 1 was selected 1st overall. Time for HABS to create a dynasty like the pioneer days

    • @TechnoForever21
      @TechnoForever21 Před rokem

      We also got Emil Heineman from that trade, who's gonna be a good 3rd line player most likely. So far from being a bad trade honestly.

    • @CrispyChristieMAC
      @CrispyChristieMAC Před rokem +1

      Emil is likely a better lehky, far better hands but almost the same defensive player prospect as lehky was. So add that, and unless you think the Habs are contending with Avalanche in the next 3 years toffy was a liability where Mesar will ripen right as they trend towards contention. Bad take, also Mesar has a lot of ceiling potential, perhaps higher then even Juraj. Him and Hutson were the 2 best picks of the draft.

      why not?? have u noticed past 30 yrs of international hockey has received exceptional help from canadian development and has created extrememly competetive hockey whereas back in days it was just total canadian domination? the game has evovled and Canada is no longer dominant, were still the best but the competition has evolved, and that is what the NHL wanted to do. 30 yrs ago, hockey in the dessert was an impossible business venture, but today its just a pathetic joke but yet lucrative business venture, and that wouldnt have happened without canadian development expanding to help 'expand the game' so my ? is, why not?? Wright got passed on by 3 teams, they cant all be 'stupid' right? its just 1st round and drafts, half these guys from 2022 draft wont be playing NHL hockey in like 5-10 yrs

    This will likely be a common thing for the Montreal Canadians picking in the top 3 daft pics for years to come . I don't expect the Montreal Canadians to be a Stanley Cup contender for a least 7 or 8 years. During this time, no unrestricted free agents will want to sign with Montreal.
    Montreal Canadians will likely see more coaches get hired and be fired during this dreadful rebuilding phase. I don't believe that General manager or the current coaching staff that they have now, even know how to build a Stanley Cup contender.
    As a result, Montreal Canadians fans are going to suffer watching this basement dweller hockey team.

      ya, people said same thing bout Rangers few yrs back and they almost took out TBL without a major powerhouse team. We got lotta prospects in our pipeline, the game has evolved a lot and canadian teams have been nothing more than farming teams for past 30yrs so if Canadian teams are gunna step up and regain a competetive edge it has to be sooner or later, habs are in a good place to be rebuilding a competetive team for the next 10-20yrs. majority major NHL teams get a 20year draugth (longer for canadain and historical teams), followed by a heavy 10-20year competetive push. thats the trend amongt many NHL teams, usually after the 20yr push (and perhaps a cup or few), a major draught starts. of course we have limited data to compae the trends to but this has been common theme in NHL thus far
