The film footage shown in this video is from a film that Marshal Bill Tilghman directed and starred in as himself. In this film he is apprehending Little Britches. It has been said by some that it is likely that he was never involved in apprehending her. This film was supposed to be based on his memoirs. Also there is no substantial proof that Cattle Annie and Little Britches ever ran with the Doolin gang or any other gang. That being said there is no substantial proof that they did not. These rumors and tales have been around for a long time and it makes separating fact from fiction very difficult. One visible error in his silent film is when he states that they were sent to Farmington. They were actually sent to Framingham.

When it comes to controversy over what a historical figure says and any historian's comments. I tend toward the historical figure's word. They have been known to exaggerate a mite, but they where there, and I have heard so many ridiculous claims from so called historians

It's really difficult for someone to come around later and say how it was. Especially when we are talking about the Old West. Everything is so much more documented now and I think many people forget that it wasn't then.

Thanks for the video. Enjoyed the old silent move clip. Henry Starr was into making movies at the same time Bill Tilgheman was. He had ran up a debt from these ventures and this is why he returned to bank robbing. He went by the 101 ranch on his way to his last job in Arkansas to talk a cowboy friend into going along. Zack Miller told the cowboy he had a job for him and told him to stay. He did not have extra work, he knew Henry was up to something.

This is absolutely fascinating news to me. Up till now I had recalled reading somewhere merely that history lost track of Annie after her release from the reformatory. As for her partner, I was given to understand that, following her own release, she stayed on in the east, becoming a social worker but, sadly, dying only a few years later of disease. If her last resting place is not known, perhaps the account I learned is only humbug. It sure enough tickles me to think so! 🤠
