The “WOW” when he slips on the bogs unfolded 👌😂😂
Great to see you found the perfect match! When my mucks finally start leaking beyond repair, I'll take a much closer look at the Boggs. 👍
I have muck boots and love my chore half boots. I have had mine for 3 years. Love them.
3 years later and this video is still helpful.
I’ve had a pair of bogs for years, they’re my most comfortable boots and they still seem brand new...everything you said is true, they really do fit so well it feels like you could run in them!
I prefer Mucks but bogs are good
I got the pair with the chore bottoms. Love them. Thanks for turning me to these boots.
Good to know about the Bogs. I have the cheaper Walmart ones too. They work great but I need comfort. Thanks for the video.
Excellent boot reviews. Stumbled onto your channel today. Great stuff.
Just bought the Bogs today and love that they are comfy and insulated. Was looking up videos to find out more about these boots. I live in Minnesota. The snow is beginning to melt and there's an area on the way to the garage in cold water that still has some ice and snow. I went to the store for rain boots that would be comfy and this is what the lady at Schuler Shoes brought out. I have wide feet and was surprised I didn't have to go up a size at all. These worked out fantastic today. The lady said I can wear these in snow too. We'll see how they do when I go up to northern Minnesota this weekend.
Just moved from the west coast to the mid west . We are about to experience our first real winter . I ended up getting my family and myself a pair of big boots . I did a lot of research on winter boots . I love they are good for cold and rain !
That amazon prime wardrobe is the best. My wife orders stuff and throws in a few items for me every now and then. The return is super easy too.
Great review - was looking into bogs vs muck, and I also have narrow feet and need comfort, so this helped me make a decision. I have bogs rain shoes that work well, but need taller ones for high grass and avoiding snake bites.
Awesome!!
People think I'm weird for not wanting a scratch or "weird spot" on my brand new boots. For anything I'm paying a good price for... you bet they'd better be perfect. I deal with mud, snow, ice, and manure. I don't need anyplace for trouble to start. Looks like you found a good boot! btw, up north in ice country, that little raised area on the back is a great place to hook on your ice treads.
I’ve had my Bogs for like 7-8 years and i wear the heck out of them Fall through Spring every year in Arkansas. I love them so much. They are just now starting to leak walking through the creek and i was shopping around and considering Muck. After watching your review and because my Bogs have been amazing for so long, i think I’ll stick with them for the next round too!
Bogs are real nice. I have had my Mucks for the 7 years. I wear them every winter here in New England. Still no issues.
I’ve worn Bogs (exact pair you bought with built-in handles) for ten years now. They’re awesome. Super comfy. Waterproof. Warm as hell.
Awesome!
Still holding up even after ten years?
I've had several pair of bogs boots. They're pretty good!
Totally agree!!! 😁😁
3 minutes in and you already addressed the biggest issue I've had with boots. I have narrow feet and skinny ankles and most boots feet like a pair of socks with worn out elastic.
Thanks for the review. I've been wearing Muck Chore boots for a few years. Maybe I'll check out the Bogs when I need a new pair. I love the Muck boots; they are the most comfortable shoes I own, but I have feet like a duck: narrow heel, wide toes.
In the summer, though, I've been wearing Crocs in the warmer parts of the year for the past two years. I can hose them off and when they wear our, you can plant in them. I saw a shed wall covered with herbs planted in old Crocs - it was really cute and looked like a rainbow.
I have feet like yours! Muck boots seem like best for me too, I use the wetland though. I might try bogs though just because of this and other people's reviews.
Wait, I've never heard this about Crocs before. Really? You've put a plant on them and they've done okay? I also had to buy new Crocs today because the stores are so worn on my other ones.
Been wearing the Muck Muckmasters for outside work and hunting for 5 years now and they are still going strong.
Hey, even while being in some muddy forest while it rain ? Does these boots grip the ground easily ?
Muck boots are the best boots anyone makes.
Great video informative & fun to watch. So disappointed with my Muck boot only three years of minor use & several splits where the fabric meets the rubber. Will check the Bogs out. Thanks!
Oh that’s such a bummer!!!
I used my Muck boots at work at a Rescue Kennel mainly working on concrete. They lasted 4 months before leaking. Will never buy Muck again.
My Mucks lasted 9ish months in North Idaho snow and "muck". I paid waaaaay too much for a 9 month boot. I will have to try Boggs next. Thanks for the review. I ended up cutting my Mucks down to something like a clog shoe for use during the spring and summer. Seems to work well, just not what I paid for...
How have the Boggs been treating you?
My wife just got me a pair of Boggs. She did good. When I first put them on I had the same reaction you did, music and all.
Hahaha!!! Yes Darryl I am soooooo glad to hear this!
Wahoo!!! So amazing!! Thank you very much for telling me!!
Any type of used shoes only on 3 dollars
Purchased my first pair of Muck Boots in December. I have no regrets.
Good review, thanks.
The sole will work great for you,I have a pair of Reed muck boots the are shoe high that's all I need. They wick moisture away from your feet and it's amazing your feet do not sweat in them and they fit like a cloud.
Bogs are the go to boot in the ski country of southern Utah.
But when it really gets cold, my go to is the Baffin Titan.
Love it!
I used Wal-Mart boots last year
This year I went with the muckmaster
Yeah I have mucks, one day I walked into school on a rainy day and almost busted my ass lmfao, their comfortable but I need to find a way to improve the treads.
The downside to the "truck tire tread" on the others type boots, they will hold tons of crap in them and make a huge mess on the steps and porch. I know this from hubs work boots!!
Thank you just got me a pair look good and Comfortable i work at a Grunette shop cutting on a saw so i think this will be good for that
I have the arctic pro from muck, and I had to actually size down. I normally wear between 10.5 and 11 depending on brand, and I ended up going with a 10, and original6it fit a little snug, but broke in and now fit great.
Every time I get a pair of the arctic ones they don’t even last a year they tear and there aren’t as durable as my chore and woody grit ones which I have had each pairs for three or four years
@Cayson Mack i actually had the same issue with my pair, lasted about 15 months, with heavy usage for 3 months... ive switched to dryshod and have been happy with them.
..glad you found a pair that'll work for you AND are comfortable (👈 comfort is HIGHLY important)
... entertaining and unique editing as usual 👍
I have DryShod steel toe insulated rubber. They have good traction. I wear size 13 often in W size. That said I live in a cooler climate.
They make different soles. I’ve had a couple pair and each one was different. I demand high traction deep grove soles and steel or composite toe due to the work I do. Depending on what you do in them and how often you wear them, they can last several years. Every day use, they will break out in the neoprene part in a couple years. Soles out last the rest of the boot every time.
I just had a stick poke right through the neoprene yesterday in a pair of 1 month old boots.
I came looking for a tougher boot, but this video shows me I may be sticking to Bogg boots.
Thank you so much Tracy!!!! I really do appreciate you coming and commenting and giving us your honest response.
I have to agree, I’ve tried every waterproof farm/work boot…. And I keep coming back to Bogs!!!
May I ask, what is your favorite sole design? I’d love to learn from you!
Thank you, this helped. My primary concerns with some boots to wear for gardening are 1) Easy hose cleaning of grass and clay mud, meaning no tiny crevices in the tread, and 2) Ease of taking off and on (doesn't have to be hands free, just no lacing). I'm not going into any water or big puddles so they don't even need to be high.
So I looked further into Bogs as opposed to Muck or Hisea thanks to your video and I think the Bogs Digger Mid will suit my needs perfectly. Cheers dude!
Well…..we are actually about to make a video on the Hisea. Wow!!! We are really loving these Hisea boots so far.
Plus, they have a better warranty than the Bogs
@@BetterTogetherLife Cool thanks for the heads-up
I'm glad you love your boots. But I will miss the pants tucked in cowboy boots! I could hear her laughing every time I seen you in those cowboy boots. 🤣 RIP Granny.
🤣🤣🤣🤣. Yea it was never a “oh I like this fashion statement”. More like, “hey I have to wear these pants inside my brand new house so I don’t want to POOP on them!”
If I ever clear brush here on the property I’m sure the cowboy boots will come back.
I just picked up a pair of BOGS 'Rancher' model boots at local outlet store for $99. They also had muck and a few other brands of this neoprene style waterproof boots but these were the cheapest and beings i will only be using them 10 times a year it was a Bargain and made the most sense. I have only tried them on around the house but initially they are extremely comfortable and fit great. Cannot wait to use them around the pits at my dirt bike races.
Bogs are the BOMB!!!!!!!
Well, I would ask how they held up, but I'm impatient, and it's black Friday weekend. Probably end up getting whatever fits at Academy. Those Bog's look cool though.
I think you just convinced me to try out the Bogs! I don't currently have a pair of water proof boots other than my steel toes. How is the support in the Bogs? I have plantar fasciitis and need some extra support! Thanks for the honest review!
I think they are great!! I have very high arches and love them.
SOLD!! great review man!!
Thanks a bunch!!!!
@9:29 "You refuse to put pants on!?" ... jump cuts... Hey man, duty calls. I understand. LOL.
I bought a pair of rockys for 105, I haul water for the oil field. Never again lasted a month and the rubber seems ripped open and aren't water proof anymore. Im currently using flex seal and plati dip to fix them.
Because of the thick liner in the mucks, I went a size down. Seems counter intuitive, but, Like you, I'm in a warmer climate and use thin socks or none at all.
Gotta say that was very entertaining. I'm sold. Big boots it is. They are perfect for chicken coop. Thank you
YES!!!!!!
I have a pair of muck hosers that I got over 5 years ago. They get periodic use and have been great and comfortable. Maybe more similar to the Bogs you picked. Summer time I get too hot in them. Don’t know why I haven’t thought about rolling the tops down.
Anybody know of this style of boot in a really low top. Something super easy to slide on for working around the property that the base is rubber and waterproof/dirt proof that don’t need laced and tied like a work boot. Something cooler. I usually end up wearing old running shoes and deal with dusty feet later.
Beau I’m 9.5 size as well. Should I order them true to size?
Hey there Texas Boys (or maybe TD! 😁)
I am also a 9.5, and of the 3 brands I bought....the size 10 Bogs were PERFECT!!!
The Muck and Lacrosse 10s were way too big. But I also think that they just fit badly no matter what compared to the Bogs.
Love these Bogs!!!!
How’s the traction on snow and ice?
So these boots have great support that's what is important to me I had planter fisheites do you think these will work for me
I've not tried LaCrosse boots, but my husband and I both have Mucks. His cracked within 6 months and he only wears them occasionally on the weekends. I wear mine daily and they cracked as well. I think they should last longer for the money, considering my "no brand" boots from Alaska that I bought for break-up are still going 8 years later and only cost me about $25..... Bogs are where I'm going to go the next time around....as soon as they get the ones in stock that I want.
YES!!!! Constance I remember your exact words about this.... which is what made me want to do this simple test.
For a fast test, the Bogs were HANDS DOWN a better boot! I make up chores to do outside just so I can wear my Bogs! 🤣🤣🤣
@@BetterTogetherLife So I just went and checked again....mine were IN STOCK!!! :D Ordered! ;)
Yay!!!!!!!
@@BetterTogetherLife Making up things to do just so you can wear your new boots? That's definitely the sign of a winner! 👍👍 #Congrats
I live in Canada, Are those Bogs ideal for shovelling snow? i mean big storms!! Thanks
My muckboot chores were great for the first month. Now they are letting in water. My feet are soaked by the end of the day. I walk in knee deep snow everyday.
Sometimes. When im in a bad mood. I come watch this just to cheer up.
Put some pants on try these on
*slips on* WOW. *runs off*
Any updates on your Bogs Boots since this video uploaded?
I like bogs but went for Mucks specifically for the height, I use mind for doing photography, I want to wear them as im hiking as well as get into a stream, lake or river to set up my tripod for a shot. Having an extra 2.5 to walk further out makes all the difference., That being said, although Mucks are very comfortable, Bogs feel like slippers you forget you have on your feet
YESSSS!!!!!! My Bogs are soooooo comfy!! I wear them all day long!
Daniel I have been trying to decide on a good high top waterproof boot to use for photography too.
I do a lot of waterfall and stream shooting in the fall, and also walking in the water on the beaches of Lake Superior looking for agates.
Are the Mucks good for long walks as far as comfort?
Bog’s I have: Love the less aggressive soul, mom will too, will not bring the outdoors in. They have a great non slip material on soul. Bogs.? PS I have the lower top, than you have on, great in MT. I just shovel snow and dink around - chores. Gators if snow deep, waders if wading🙂. Love Bogs.
Nice
We are jumping for joy in my house cause you found your boots!!
I like the soul on the Boggs....no big mud clumps to deal with! I own some Mucks though. Boggs werent available I guess
sole, ooooppppsss! lol
Your excitement about bog boots made me cancel my order of other brand boots I had already placed and order bogs instead since I was originally looking at them. I’m weirdly excited for them to arrive now and trudge around in the mud.
I LOOOOOOOOOOVE MY BOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH. MY. GOD. They arrived, they are the most comfortable thing I've ever worn in my life. And like you said you feel like you could run in them and they have so much ankle support. For reference I got the tacoma. Even just walking to the mailbox is an excuse to put them on and enjoy how comfortable these things are. Thanks to your review I'll never go with another brand.
How do you like them now?
Music Islife I wear them everyday around the farm and they’re still just as comfortable as When I got them, still super supportive in the soul and despite how much use they get and going through mud when hosed off the rubber still is perfect. It’s like they haven’t been worn at all. Absolutely love them, so so so comfortable and supportive.
S Shepard thank you for the feedback. I took the leap today and bought a pair. I was shocked by how comfortable they are! I live in Hobart, Tasmania and it's winter here at the moment, so keeping the feet warm is important :) I will mostly wear them on my boat when fishing and I think they will do the job just fine :)
I couldn’t find a link in the comments for the specific Bog boots you reviewed. Did I miss it? Could you add it to a comment here for me please?
Bogs also make the more knobby soles. They call them workman. You got the classics.
Love my Bogs!!!!
When you find out the neoprene dosen't hold up, try the Red Wing Injex. They don't roll down but you can cut them to whatever length you like. Been in use for over a year in the oil field no problems.
Oh man Andrew that would be a bummer. I am LOVING these Bogs still!!!!
@@BetterTogetherLife I hope they hold up for you, but I've had multiple pairs. I've either torn the upper by snagging it on stuff, or eventually the neoprene starts to separate and peal apart. I just want to let folks know there are other options out there.
@@BetterTogetherLife are they still holding up?
@@andrewc9790 The neoprene breaks down quickly?
@Micronic No, most people tuck their pants into them. Which leaves the neoprene vulnerable to snags and abrasion. It doesn't break down, but it's not a particularly tough material.
How have they been 3 years later?
What about wearing them on hot weather?
Lacrosse has held up better than muck, by far in my experience. As a outdoorsman, I've put both through extreme conditions. Muck are a bit more comfortable, but Lacrosse are longer lasting by years.
Absolutely
Lacrosse alpha boot for me all the way
Your experience is your own, but my Mucks are 8 years old and no issues whatsoever.
I got me a pair of bogs half price on the last day of a fishing and outdoor expo a few years back. Not until I got these boots did I realize that I'd spent almost every rainy Portland day with wet feet for years. Don't tuck your pants in when it's raining though, or rain will run into your boots. I'm still trying to figure out the dry pants thing.
Frogg Toggs?
@@alcopower5710 I'll give them a go. I bought two pairs of rain pants from colombia over the years and they were so bad that I started bringing extra pants in a drybag.
Got a pair of Magellan last night from academy $37
Do you have to size up on these?
You said you wear a size 9. What size Boggs did you go with?
You need to to get real muck boots with the neoprene!
Air pressure wash and I bought many boots throughout the years. They all rip especially where your foot bends by your ankle. No matter how good inexpensive they are I just pay the money because it's for the comfort.
How are the Bogs in the heat? I need something for hot summer temps that's why i was leaning towards the Muck Chore Cool ... noticable difference between the two ?
I mean, any of these neoprene waterproof boots are going to be warm. But I like the bogs because you can fold down the tops and help my calves breath a little bit.
how are they with a size 10 and wide foot?
I have a pair of muck boot wetlands and they are like a cloud to me... hmmm. not sure what to think now.
Well we do love our Bogs!
Glad I watched this before buying Muck boots. I felt they were heavy and too big.
Oh that’s so good!!!!!
We're up in Alaska. Best boots ever are Xtra Tuffs. Year round, summer, winter, hunting, fishing, they last forever. People give away bogs because they rip so quickly.
Alaska is definitely a hardest place to live than Texas!!! You win!!!!
I live in AK, I do love Xtra Tuffs for ATVing in the summer and general all purpose. But in the winter... my feet are always cold even with a fleece boot liner. I'm going to give the Bogs a try, even just for the warmth in the snow and slush. /crosses fingers
@@laurathurneau have you tried the insulated Xtra Tuffs?
comfy and squishy said the texan but a good review
I got my Muck boot very confortable but my feet is soaking wet boot make my feet sweat a lot I’m returning them
I need a pair pair of boots keep my feet dry. Any recommendations ?
Well I love my Bogs for sure!! 😁👍🏻
I like Dry-shod myself.
Muck boots. Best winter boots at any price.
@v_gan Didn't know this. I'll have to check out Dryshod. Thanks for the info.
U appear to be dealing with boots only available in England and USA check out the European makes
Bogs are the real deal, but as a winter boot the version you have with the flat sole is a neck breaker on snow or ice.
Updated my old exhausted bogs with their more aggressive winter soled model, but returned them as they have rounded edges on the sole and feel like they are prone to rolling an ankle.
Really hoping they come up with a perfect winter model as it’s hard to make it through a Canadian winter without my Bogs.
Would also like to see Bogs offer a recycling program, or even a re-soling service. Seems like a massive waste to toss a boot that is fine but the sole has worn.
That sounds like a great idea. But I guess in this disposable world they don't want to resole they want you to get new😮
I've worked in a big kitchen, and there's water everywhere on the floor! A simple walk won't make you slip, if not at all, once you get used to them. You could even do a little jog if you know your boots. Not a bad choice.
Love it!! Great comment thank you!
@@BetterTogetherLife No problem. 👍
Bogs changed their warranty but still will on occasion honor past warranty period, with plenty of questions asked. I’ve had zero problems with my Muck boots. They don’t leak after 7-8yrs of use. My Bogs fell apart, that’s why I’m watching review because I was considering buying another pair more similar to Muck Boots. In comparison to your Rain Boots, these are insulated and protect your feet. The insulation is miracle stuff that doesn’t make my feet sweat when hot outside and keep feet warm when very cold. I’d like to know if the Bogs hold up?? I know the Muck Boots Do.
Our bogs have NEVER leaked.
But I do have weird feet that the heal rips up the back.
But, Bogs has redesigned that spot and hopefully it will help.
Again, NEVER leaked!!!
If your Mucks held up, just buy more Mucks. Mine are 8 years old and they work like brand new. My opinion is Muck boots are the best winter boots made.
Sure, you get to choose what you like best.
Where’s the link for the $20 boots 😂 I want those
Skechers bot aldım bir yıl içinde yırtıldı muck botlar nasıl
So are you rating them on if they fit your foot? I'm confused
Rating them on their comfort, and many other things
I'd like to have this
My Mucks are the best boot ever. I have tried Bogs and they feel cheap to me.
Is it true to size? Or do you recommend buying larger than your size?
Lloyd Maxwell Jr I'm a 9.5 and a size 10 fits perfectly! One thing he didn't mention (possibly didn't know) is that they have a removable insole. Taking it out makes the boots about a half size larger and it's great for when you are wearing really thick socks :)
Thick or double socks for boots
OK so Bog boots are your favorite because they fit freakishly narrow feet which means those of us with normal feet should go for the muck boots?
And your name is Peanut Man?? 🤔
Stage name
Were i csn buy bogs boots in the philippines are they snake proof too.
Oh yikes, I’m not sure. So sorry!!
Beau, you are soooo cute with excitement. Makes we want a pair! I wonder if they come in cool girl colors????
HI LYNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, thank you SOOOOOO MUCH for watching!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I still LOVE these boots, and I totally agree..... I wish that Bogs had something more colorful for you ladies. 😁
They do :)
Mine have flowers on them.
Bought a pair of the $15 walmart rubber rain boots last year and they absolutely killed my feet and ankles. I rather go bare foot than wear those things
Yea they are not comfy at all. Get you some Bogs!
Update?
I stand in sewage all day in muck boots replace/patching sewage pipes. never in my life has one leaked.
Bought 2pair of muckmaster rubber boots and after a year both of them unstick for the soul .
The sole is made like that so mud don't build up on the bottom
You need to go to a hunting store a get a good pair of lacrosse
I love how tickled you got over the Bogs lol.
Oh my goodness Kristy I absolutely LOOOOOOVE these boots!!!!! I wish I had another pair just to keep clean and wear as my house shoes! 🤣🤣🤣
They are sooooooooo comfy!!!!
@@BetterTogetherLife Dang! They MUST be comfy then. 👍
