I opened up for Buck when I was 15 (1963) the Buckaroos backed me up for 3 songs and Don Rich sang Harmony. Two of the finest people I ever met
I loved hearing & seeing Buck & Don playing at large & small venues all over the Bay Area. Buck seemed to change a lot after Don was killed. That was such a sad time.
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
Please post positive proof pronto

I believe it....he exudes such warmth and kindness and above all, such respect for his fellow performers.
@Big Country we heard you the first 10 times you posted this. You've mastered copy and paste. Crawl back into the sewer, troll..
Everything you hear is Buck Owens , The Buckaroos and the Bakersfield sound. Their voices. Their instruments.. Nothing else!!!
If I could have met anyone in the music industry it would have been Don Rich. He was a multi-talented individual and seemed like a very nice guy to boot.
Amen brother. I had the opportunity to present Don Ulrich with a distinguished alumnus award from his high school, Olympia High School. The award was given posthumously. I was able to get to know his widow Marlane and his boys Vick and Vance. This was in 2009. I prepared a 10-minute video to show the audience. I grew up in the same town, only about 16 years younger, and didn't know him. Fortunately, I knew many people who remembered Don, many contributed to the video, which can be seen at: czcams.com/video/0aXIEjdCLV4/video.html
Reminishing Owens n Rich happiest n inspiring time! if only i could turn back the time how happy it would be no dull moments .
My mom had dinner with Buck. She said he was just as decent off stage as he was on stage
I totally agree. Don & Buck were both very nice gentlemen. Many times, when they played at small clubs and bars, I would go to the edge of the stage to request a song and Buck would squat down to take the request and never miss a beat on his guitar.
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
My mother Louise was madly in love with Don Rich. She never missed an episode. My mom passed away at an early age as did Mr. Rich. Hope you get to meet him in heaven mom
Love you
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
@bigcountry4539 how you no?
Don is always the quintessential professional.
He looks like he invented performing.
Love Don's smile too. He always looked like he had something up his sleeve.
He and Buck were heavily into the "groupies" on the road.
Don is so nice looking!!!!❤️🥰❤️😎
Wow, imagine hearing this for the first time! 44 years old and I’m just discovering the magic of Buck Owens and Don Rich and all the wonderful guests.
What a rabbit hole to discover.
Welcome Friend! Buck was a County Rocker , l can't remember the first time l heard him because he was always playing in our house or some one in my family! Your comment made my day!
I was 50 and heard the Ramones for the first time , l love all kinds of music but country is my favorite and Buck is number one! I have 98% of his one time print albums from the 60's and in mint condition!
For sure.
Don RIch, master of the telecaster.
As always Don is outstanding in all he does....a shame to lose him so early in life.
God needed him in his country band in heaven
Born in that crazy year of '68, I grew up
watching Buck and Roy, Buck with his red, white, and blue guitar, on Hee Haw!
But I haven't really discovered his
Bakersfield sound music until now.
And now, I am on a Buck binge. This
country music legend makes me
😊
I remember growing up with him too. I was born in 67
Born in 59. Totally grew up with this great music.
Imagine how fun it would be to have Don Rich in your band. You'd never get a wink of sleep.
Best wing man ever.... truly gone too soon.
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!

@@bigcountry4539 That's just creepy.
@@EstraNiato ... Yup... they were Sodomites!
Love this "TRUE COUNTRY MUSIC"
My jaw is always sore after the Buck Owens Show from smiling large the whole time 😁🤠
Mine, too.
This is the best ...Don Rich and Buck as one....
Even though he's no longer with us, I still cherish him..really miss my Papa.
Which one is your Papa?
You can sure tell by the look on Buck's face that he loves the way the band sounds and he especially loves the harmonies that he and Don are making when they sing"Cinderella"!
Fern Benoit I fully agree. It's so pleasing to the ear. Love Don Rich and Buck Owens.
How did Don Rich make a living when Buck went with HEE HAW???
@@joyride5160 He was playing for a higher audience.
@@joyride5160 Don went with him as the music director among everything else.
Fern Benoit When Don brings the harmony everything is right
Bob morris & Faye Hardin are my grandparents :)
How cool.
we could use some shows like this nowadays, just good music and entertainment you could actually enjoy watching with your family
Try the Marty Stuart Show on RFD TV. Same rock/country sound. Marty is the real deal. You can get it through your cable provider, or become a member of their Country Club and subscribe directly to the RFD TV shows (that's what I did).
cherrycola059 Marty is ok, but he don't hold a candle to Buck, He's too rock for me. I guess Rockabilly is the word, but he's not nearly as country as Buck.
See Marty live and he will change your mind. A Marty Stuart Concert is like going to the Grand Ol Opry when the Opry was still Grand!
A few years ago, when I went out to enjoy my Saturday, I planned my outings to make sure I got home in time for The Marty Stuart Show on RFD-TV. Now I watch it on CZcams, but I wouldn't miss it. And I love getting to see classic country on CZcams, too. Just saw a collection of "Where Are You Tonight?" from Hee Haw...great stuff.
That would be wonderful.
Just a kickass great band. Hope Buck never had to deal with Nashville. Shenia the lie-a Shanghai Twain and Barf Brooks stole the heart of country music. RIp Buck, Billy Joe, Johnny, Merle, Waylon and George Country is alive and has no need for Nashville. Keep posting real country folks The young uns don't get to hear today, but when they do they love it.
True country has a heart. Today they leave that out.
OMG...They guy with low voice is amazing...Its like watching ghosts bcuz every single person in these videos is dead and gone..RIP all of you amazing gifts to this old world...
willie cantu, the drummer is living
Low voice is JD Sumner. The stamps the quartet he sang with backed elvis up.
DON RICH is SMOKING THIS!!! Going DOWN... WOW! BOB MORISS is awesome!
The awesome Don Rich
The rhythm of the fiddle on fishing on the Mississippi is just spectacular. One of the best songs I've heard.
The Buck Owens Show, brings my mind to a place that my family is all together.
Me, too. It really does.
I know Buck was devastated when Don died awful motorcycle wreck....I was in one myself grateful to Father God he let me live if I had not made a prayer the night before I might not be here typing this right now. Thank you Father God!!
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
@@bigcountry4539 and where is your proof?
@@4skully ... I read it in the National Inquirer...
Early JD Summer with the Stamps One of the great bass voices of all time.
First four years (1966-1969) were great because everyone sang and played live. Later they sang to prerecorded tracks and started cobbling together shows from various video clips recorded at different times.
All the shows were recorded in Oklahoma city at wky tv studio the band went to OKC 4 times a year and recorded
Everyone in the Buckaroos is working their absolute tail off on stage, but watching Willie Cantu in this episode is a master class- his feel and pocket are so deep and his range is humongous. He switches between sticks and brushes so quickly, and his left foot on "We Were Made For Each Other" sounds like an entire separate percussionist!!!
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
@@bigcountry4539Will you stop saying that!! It's just rude.
JD Sumner and the Stamps were back up singers for Elvis for years! Elvis loved the music of the stamps
This song is Buck and Don's "friendship" song!! Love it!
Tom looks up on that first song like "Don't disturb me:, then the humble smile
Love Tom , he is the reason I took up pedal steel.great player , greater man.
1967 I was ten years old. Holy crap does this remind me of my aunts and uncles when I was a kid. Kind of funny, at 63 I have this buckskin coat and play the Telecaster.....must be genetic.
Good to see Bob and Faye Morris on here. They were good people.
I love them, wish I knew how to get everything the recorded. Did you know them personally? Are they still with us?
@@deccakitty may be late here but Bob was my grandfather and I think he died in the early 80's, never got to meet him. Faye is still kicking though.
@@KH-mz4gz Do you have any recordings of them? I would love anything you may have of them together of seperate! So nice to meet you!
@@deccakitty my mother has tons of the originals I believe but I don't have anything myself. She has tons of their 45's.
@@KH-mz4gz is there any way you could copy them for me or someone could even put them in casette tapes? I would like to remaster them and share the career with many people!
The guy yelling "YEAH" in the canned applause in the first two episodes is much missed...
God Bless Buck, Don, and the Buckaroos
willie cantu getting a little funky with the brushes. nice!
Don rich was the best.me and my brother Buck played Buck and Don's songs for years,, so sad to lose Don Rich so early their still and always number one
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
My Mom is Faye Hardin and my DAd Bob Morris. My Dad cried when Don Rich was killed 😢
Wow.! They sang great. I'm sorry you miss them so much. I miss my parents, too. Even after 23 years.
Wow. That's cool.
I wish all the episodes were on here. Maybe someday . These are great stuff!
Love "Sam's Place".
Dangerous Don was also a master fiddler and once opened at the age of 16 for Elvis in Tacoma with his school group
Imagine a 16 yearold dangerous Don Rich in the same building as Elvis 👀
Wow!!
Love the dud note Don plays at 21:20! The look on their faces is priceless. What nice guys they all are!
+mnahuyse Great - it was actually at 21:13 but their reactions definitely lasted a few more seconds. It's cool they left that in there - even the greats can make a mistake.
Right??? Makes me feel so much better about mine!!!!!
RFD TV should drop heehaw and swap it out for this show! these videos are fantastic! Thank you!
The more I see and hear Buck and his gang, the more precious this all becomes to me nowadays...this can never be matched by anyone!
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
Damn straight.
Love those guys!
Hey Keiran, "the guy" playing the tele is Don Rich, one of the best country style chicken pickers of the 60's and a big influence on modern pickers like Brad Paisley and Keith Urban.
Listen to the superb harmonising by Don Rich
I love this music. Buck Owen's and The Buckaroos were second to none. Too bad Don Rich was gone so early in life. I have alot of Buck Owen's CD and listen to them often. I was able to see this group once. Awesome awesome is all I can say.
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
wish had the shows in the UK,, back then,!! even though i would have been a kid, 70s,!!
The late Don Rich was so loved as a guitar player, I keep forgetting he also played a mean fiddle....so thanks for this. Great sound from all.
The Buckaroos died when Don Rich died. Sad but true. 😢
I wonder if Wayne Wilson, who filled in for Doyle Holly, Is still living or not. He sang his song very well.
such great sounds
I have to say that this my favorite show out of all the ones posted! The band is so tight here! Please, more episodes!
These were recorded in Oklahoma city at wky tv studio buck and the band would go to OKC 4 times a year and record shows
Don and Buck were such legends man… also that barbershop quartet was insane. I’m 23 years old and love watching this stuff
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
@@bigcountry4539BS!!
Love those dueling fiddles!! Man oh man!! They're great.
I love it I don't know how anyone could not
What a tight band!!!!! Don's harmonies make Buck's singing great. Faye Hardin one of the Hardin Trio. Awesome music that sounds so much different than todays dribble. Something has definately been lost in the transition.
That is fun! thanks buckaro
Yes Don made them!
You can say that again.
I love this song since8yr old my sister use to dance with our Elder sister Patricia, and Ernest taught us to dance my favourite songs
Make a point out of watching Don's eye and facial movement. this guy is on another level
Looks at Buck's expression. He never quite recovered!
Perfect country music, and l love it.
Thank you
One of the best all time
Oh yeah, Orange Blossom Special! I love that song so much! I've heard lots of different versions; Johnny Cash and Roy Clark dueted on one. I even heard a band on The Benny Hill Show play it(can't remember their names, though...🤔😫).
such well recorded, well mixed live sound
i dig that 2nd line groove on 'we were made" I read that drummer 9Willie Cantu)was playing in pipe and drum bands back east.wearing a kilt!
Pure freaking talent. Amazing.
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
Leave me something dear....visiting here again 2023 evening before family day....just fine singing
Oh sweet pieces of my childhood!! 1967. I was almost 8. Watched good country shows. These guys were so good.
I have liked Ol Buck since I was a little guy, and now at 63 I still like Ol Buck and Don, and my dad got me started on playing the steel, one of my favorites and still my favorite is Buckaroo!!!
Awesome.
They must have run this program on the West Coast because if it had been on in the MIdwest, we would have watched it. Great stuff !
Recorded in Oklahoma city
The show was broadcast on 77 stations throughout the country. I watched it as a kid on KTVT channel 11 out of Fort Worth.
@@weirdbeard63 So did I, Ch.11 was the greatest! Saturday night C&W Shows, High Chapparelle then Saturday Night Wrasselin!

Don is so cute when he smiles - which is a lot!!! 🥰❤️😎. I enjoy just watching Don!!! Mmm a cute guy!!!!
Buck and Don had a homosexual affair going and Buck had Don murdered to cover it up... sad indeed!
@@bigcountry4539 I never heard that!!! I can’t imagine such a thing!!! They were both married & Don had a motorcycle accident that killed him.
Buck later mentored Dwight Yoakum who I can’t imagine being gay. He did marry a few yrs ago & has a son.
good music
...
Phenomenal steel guitarist!
Brilliant show.
the wealth of excellent music and performances in these videos is astounding.
You said that right.
Donny hung out in Spokane where he was brought up of course, when ever he could. One time he eyed my sis but she (was with someone) had her best friend go for him. She died in a motorcycle accident and a while after. Donny died in the same way. Don Rich was tops.
Daniel Barry: Don wasn't brought in Spokane; He was born and raised in the Olympia area...Tumwater to be exact.
Buck grabs Dangerous Don’s arm during his solo in We Were Made For Each Other. He didn’t mind sharing center stage with that man!
Okay. I saw it, finally. He squeezed Don's elbow.
Isn't it wonderful, real country!
Like the performances, even the font for the title “The Buck Owens Show” is clean, simple and straight, hard to make anything as good as this
3:15 listen to how tightly the band increases tempo between the steel guitar lead in and the first verse....
So good, talented
I just grew with this, just reminiscing, so good, sorry
Post more of the classic early ranch shows please!
he has gold in ground
Uuuu ooooo second song Mr. Brumley started it out at wrong meter. Ole Buck brought it up to snuff.
First class!
Peter Kolovos,I fully agree a mega talent and the most amazing smile.
Best blend singers
GREAT STUFF KEEP IT COMING
clearthroat,sighs and den say,wowww..?i luv d band.
I want one of those leather fringe jackets.
Oh yes, Bob Morris also wrote "Buckaroo" The No. 1 instrumental on the national charts. Made Buck alot of $$$$ money.
Bob also wrote the #1 record MADE IN JAPAN.
@@jamesmarshall8836 Correct. Bob and Faye Morris. Bob also wrote "This O'l Heart" recorded by Buck. Bob also had recorded it
My paw loved this
I can't believe Don Rich is playing without a guitar strap of some sort. What a talent.
Hooks onto his belt for quick removal and instrument change
Thanks SO much for posting these great Buck Owens shows, and captioning the songs into the Forward controls. :)
Nation then the world
Faye Harden does a fine job on a 'different' type of country song! We seldom hear a basso like the one in tbe Stamps Quartet.
Don Rich was a music teacher in a college in California in the late 50's. He played gigs at night, taught during the day. Buck saw him perform and convinced Don to join him. Forget that music professor stuff!
I,am a fan of Don,very good
Don Rich was great 👍 I don't know if he got the recognition he so deserved 👏
I wonder if I’m the only one from my generation that enjoys listening to this type of music. Everyone now days just listen to “rap” and bad bunny and whatnot . 💀
Bob Morris doin Mississippi River that just damn priceless
