Some comments complained about this guy isn't an expert judging from his speed, the author then makes a part 2 video explaining the differences between NES and modern tetris, and thought that it was a better idea to invite NES experts as they should be better in pure tetris stacking, hence the quote.
this'll probably get buried but here's an explanation for those confused fusion mode is basically tetris and puyo puyo combined and the developers had to do some weird things in order to make it work for example, you can drop a tetromino on some puyos and it'll fall "through" them more importantly, you can soft-drop it, allowing it to continue falling *while you're moving another piece* this means that you can get stuff like octrises by dropping two i pieces at the same time, among other things what this guy/girl/dragonperson did is soft-drop an O piece, which will clear 2 lines after some time then they take another O piece and moves it just below the hole that's when the 2 lines get cleared by the first O piece, moving the playfield 2 lines down however, the O piece *didn't* move and is now stuck inside other blocks that's when they "rotate" the O piece, -making it snap to the nearest empty space- actually that's wrong! the kicks for each piece are manually defined, and according to a recent comment from lilla it's because the pentominoes have the same kicks as their corresponding tetrominoes, and the P piece (derived from O) needed one; that's also why this only works with a specific "rotation" of the O piece wrongness follows -(this mechanic allows for stuff like T-spins, that's why it exists in almost every modern tetris game) normally, the game wouldn't have to do anything, since the nearest empty space is wherever the O piece is right now but this time around, the current space is already occupied, so the game has to move the piece a bit there are two empty spaces nearby: the first is 1 block above the current position, the second is 2 blocks below it the game picks the first spot because it's closer,- allowing the O piece to go in the previously prepared hole and there you have it, watch for rolling rocks in 0.5 a presses tl;dr: fusion mode lets you make pieces get stuck because slow falling, srs tries to unstuckify it, closest empty space just so happens to be normally unreachable, and bada boom bada bing you have an O-spin

This is why I press clockwise before putting the O in position, so that it puts the O in the rotation state that actually has this upkick when rotating counterclockwise from there.

I said no cause I didn't have the power back then. After someone looked deeper into my softlock when trying to T spin Tetris and seeing how it happened I was able to do this.
I assume something about when you merge two blocks the one you overwrite is put in a weird state where it's technically there but the game half-recognises it. Putting a puyo on this block is what causes the softlock, probably because said puyo just hangs in midair not knowing if this block should be treated as a free or occupied space. The puyo never lands so the game never advances to the next thing to drop.
The only official game I know with 180 is Tetris 64 in which case by toggling alternate rotation centre and either 180s or wallkicks (or both) you can O-spin single, but it's not a glitch and more of a feature.
No because a mini requires one of 2 specific corners around your T piece to be empty, but if you clear a triple with your T all 4 corners are occupied. Unless you mean making a T-Spin Mini while simultaneously clearing 3 lines in fusion but if you do that it shows as Mini T-Spin Double because there's no graphic for Mini T-Spin Triple
