One of the most amazing & surprising days of my Sri Lankan trip :) While I was exploring Jaffna, Sri Lanka I met two female solo travellers & one them was from Ambala ( India ), and it really was the most surprising thing from my entire Sri Lankan trip. No, I was not surprised because she was Indian, I was surprised because of her age, she was just nineteen & she was travelling by on her own, that's a massive achievement in our society.

Im a sri lankan. Indian tamils send to hill country in english rules time to work in tea estates.They are still living in around nuwaraeliya. But jaffna tamil people has a long histry in sri lanka and they are native to here. @@bibekbhowal8263 Lankan Tamils have been living there for more than 2000 years. Thats their homeland and they did not migrate from Indian state of Tamil Nadu. You will find them in northern and eastern parts of SL.
Indian Tamils of SL, have their ancestry in Tamil Nadu, whose ancestors were brough to SL from TN by the British, for labour work. You will find them in central regions of SL, Muthaiah Muralidharan is of Indian descendent!
Tamils of Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka are indigenous Sri Lankan Tamils, they are different from Central Highland Indian Tamils (taken by Britishers to work in Tea plantations).. Please correct it..

Katchathivu was a island belonging to Tamilnadu/India previously gifted by government of India to srilanka.could ve been avoided
Bro it was earlier belongs to Sri Lanka and during the war time due to the challenges faced to control and maintained by SL Govt. gifted to India... Then after the war time passed by Indian Govt. returned it back. So it always give and take.
