That was fantastic. Your tone, for me, is just perfect. I'd love it if you would to take us through your rig and how you go about dialling it in. I know its not all about gear, because the important stuff is the playing, touch, technique and practice. Nonetheless, right or wrong, we all pay a lot of attention to the kit we use.

And I've been playing slide with my middle or ring finger for well over 30 years- until I watched your "pinky" video last week. 🤣 🤣 🤣
Wow- this whole time I've been almost exclusively used the NOS "coricidin" bottle Duane made famous- which has more room than most slides I'm realizing. Lol.

I think it's the people who can actually listen and apply what you're saying that will benefit the most, though I'm not sure guys or gals that have been doing it "their way" for as many years as I have would be open enough to really give it a solid try. 😉 😂 Hopefully I'm wrong!! Thanks again, man!!

Dylan,…I thought this would be a great song to cover for our Friday night blues jam out here in Fullerton CA so I sent my bandmates your cover as well as the Aretha/ Duane version and the unequivocal response back was… “I like the Smokestack version better”…! Trying to coordinate a time slot for an online lesson..

Haven’t heard that one but we do “Comin’ Home,” another Skynyrd deep cut with some great slide!
