It’s been a long time that a movie made me smile the way this one did.
I LOVED this movie so much! It had me tearing up a few times. I wish movies like these got more attention in general.

I agree - I longed for poetic justice with Vinny - I wished a lightbulb had gone off in his mind and heart that our actions and words have consequences! 😢
Being English and a massive Football fan, I enjoyed it but it was about 20 minutes too long. I agree about the story surrounding the man not taking his drugs. Would have been better if he had stepped forward. The ending was a bit hard to swallow given he didn't play in the semis but turned out for South Africa. Would his teammates be that happy for him?
My fav sports movie is bend it like Beckham! Completely agree about this movie, while enjoyable it fell flat with character development.

A very lazy film in terms of character development..script and back stories, especially the first half of film, a bit of a mess ..does kind of tie up in the second half (a game of 2 half's 😂) it's always a pleasure to watch Bill Nighy though and my 13 year old footy playing son enjoyed it...his favourite sporting themed movie is Rocky 4 ...Id have to go with the original Rocky or Field of Dreams...not a typical sporting film I know but its got Baseball in it so hopefully I can get away with it 😊
