Oh. I used it on my brother I was 5 I lost terribly then my cousin wouldn’t stop spamming with Erin black then I went on to use tremor of course I was 5. I couldn’t read and understand what to do. I play on Xbox now heck I really didn’t know although I played mw3 when I was only 3 but I was garbage at mk now I’m playing mk 11 we used to play on PS4

For the record, infrared scorpion is a reference to the scene in the first film where the Predator literally picks up and looks at a scorpion with infrared. I appreciate the nod and it seems like something Boon would do, but my god that skin makes the game painful to look at.

I remember fighting an Infrared Scoprion on Corrupted Sky Temple in 200ms before they had the netcode patch. Good times :)
Wasn’t that patch released before the skin came out? I thought it was before KP1 and that skin was part of the Predator skin pack
@@blazaybla22 I could've swore the netcode fix came out along with KP2 when it became MKXL instead of MKX, but I could be remembering wrong

In 2018, a bug was found in the Gens version of UMK3. P1 pressing the "mode" button would input Up for P2 during special moves. You could essentially prevent your opponent from doing special moves by mashing it during combos. Several top Russian Gens players admitted to knowing about this and using it in matches after it was discovered.
Knowing there's a scene in Russia for specifically the Mega Drive version of UMK3 is kinda funny.

That infinite on Flash is disgusting. It reaches the point where everything but the launcher was doing 0% damage. Im so glad I only played local versus MKvsDC with my cousin. It would be so demoralizing to get hit by that.

It was everywhere online. Same goes for Superman's ground pound inf. If you were skilled enough, you could bypass it but that was character specific.
Infrared scorpion was actually pretty cool. I never knew it hurting peoples eyes or making it hard to look at was a thing. Now I feel bad using it all the time back in the day 😅

Depends on TV model and if your TV is on a less bright setting then the skin doesn't really hurt the eye. But if it's bright screen and certain model of TV it will hurt alot.

Remember the kreate a kharacter in mk armageddon? I remember creating an unblockable combo with the chicken leg. The fact that you can choose the throw that launches and then combo into the chicken leg was awesome.

I heavily played MKD online back in 2004-2005 and it was a tough ride with so many players using Infinites, free throws, OTG's, etc. Players complain now of broken characters in later MK versions, yet they don't know the half of it or what it actually means that something is broken and not just referring to just some overpowered special or plus frames.
At least a bunch of characters had the broke stuff in mkd. Tombstone drop be damned
@@PNDKM Dairou..Jeez that was annoying and Bo Rai Cho's F4 Stick into throw (rinse & repeat). The Gamecube version removed it and added a longer cooldown on the Tombstone drop, which made it slightly better to play
I was expecting that weird MK11 Scorpion untechable grab brutality he had for a bit.
I think worse than that was Noob's forward throw brutality that did close to 20% damage for some reason.
Fun fact: It was not the last time you could attack your opponent before the match started. Back in MK Mobile (then named MKX Mobile), pausing the game before the match started allowed you to attack. If my memory is correct, they tried to correct this by removing the pause button during the start but using the back button on the task bar did the trick. Eventually, they patched it.

Honestly i still can't fucking Believe Infrared Scorpion happened. People got paid for that. They had to go through so many layers of testing and review to make it happen and it never got scrapped.

There was a Fujin infinite in MK11. You have to use that floaty move (I forget what it's called)
Press F3, then DDU and stance switch (L2 or LT). The stance switch would cancel the float and allow you to do another F3 that's unblockable thus leading into an infinite. It was REALLY hard to do but it definitely worked.

Am I just... The only person immune to Infared Scorpion? It doesn't look unpleasant or hard on the eyes, it just looks like it doesn't fit, but that makes me like it. Like are my eyes so fucked up that I can just handle it or something?

When i saw the title of this video i instantly got "flash"backs to MKDC. my god.
Man, I gotta say, playing against infrared Scorpion as my very first tower fight, the very first time EVER using Predator, was a fucking trip. A genuine mindfuck.
I was simultaneously saying "omfg, wow, this attention to detail they paid is sooo neat!" and also "omfg, this is actually gonna be kind of annoying seeing every character like this, how tf do I turn it off?"
The very next round had me even more perplexed but then answered my questions shortly after when my logic kicked in. XD
When my buddies do another classic fighting game night I'm going to absolutely run up and pull that glitch in DA.

The jump kick that Scorpion used in MK 1 the original was definitely the easiest way to get flawless victory
For mk4 it appears that the player being able to attack first is able to do so because their health bar fills up slightly before which means thst the match probably starts furst for whoever has first player and it probably isn't matchup specific but frame specific for the moves. Try using moves at the beginning which have low start-up frames

The reason why Scorpion got the infrared skin is because of the scene in the movie where the Predator picks up the dead/stabbed scorpion in his palm and looks at it in infrared.
Not because Scorpion is the poster boy of the franchise.

NGL...the infrared costume...I was like...okay, dark stage, the contrast is a bit much, but I can "deal" with it...I would not have thought that the lightning flash would make it that much worse. xD
i played mk decption online on ps2. if you do the disconnect trick and hit the opponent before the timer starts you do 0 damage to them. really the most broken thing about it is that you can insta kill on trap stages with it

Some games let you attack before the round starts. I think Toy Fighter calls them Dirty Attacks

Great video...I had heard about the cyrax mk3 skin bug, but never in detail psdt: one day we could talk about the error that Smoke's Mk2 skin had in mk9, perhaps in a second part
The dirtiest tactic was mk1 scorpion, who could never be cornered & could get a life lead only to run away for the rest of the round; both feats accomplished by abuse of his teleport. That & his ultra-high damage combo (t.o.d.) is why he's #3 on the tier list.

I agree on infrared scorp being hard on the eyea but any stage it hurt. The sky temple was awesome the regular version.
The clsssic Cyrax MK9 trick to get the lame tactics allowed I remember well. Definitely a scummy, try hard thing to do. Ive encountered the deception disconnecting and replugging in trick. Lame Bo players did this to me to try to hit me with the busted Bo OTG bs lol 😅

I don’t know, I think the scorpion skin makes him easier to keep up with honestly. It’s so dark on that temple stage that it keeps him lit up for me to see. But that’s probably just me lol.

I can think of a few things from mk9 that should be on this list lol my favorite is when people would continuously jump on the other side of you and hit you before landing then jump to the other side and repeat.. if done correctly you would be unable to preform any attacks due to the input switching sides and regular hits being to slow to react.. alot of the higher ranked players in tag matches would do this. Or who could forget Sheeva and her kick jump combo lol but that was easy to counter atleast
Scorpion was already an unpleasant character to fight against in MKX (mostly because of the Ninjitsu spam), but man infrared added salt to the wound
