Haha! My thought process was behind that was because he fit the delinquent archetype in his character design. In anime, those characters usually have a soft spot for a family member, lover, or close friend. I just took a lucky guess with brother since he looked the type to have an older brother he looked up to and wanted to be like.

About 95% of these speculations at the point I’m at (24:52) have been really close. Not perfect but close, and I think good character design is to thank for that.

Funfact: you we're half right about toko, she has Multiple personalities, toko is her normal self who is timid and paranoid and a simp for byakuya, and Syo/Jack is her murderous half, Who is chaotic as all hell and is the total opposite of Toko

I assure you, Danganronpa just has good designs. I have also just watched a lot of anime and played a lot of games. Danganronpa leans into tropes pretty heavily with the characters (though that lends itself really well to the style of game). But before making this video, I had not played any of the games. :)

Haha, I'll take a little of column A, a little of column B. Danganronpa has fantastic character designs that write the personality all over the design. I have also played many games and watched many shows so it's something I've definitely grown accustomed to in my life, quite literally reading a book by its cover haha.
