Miho/bass is a Steve Harris fanatic and he is her idol. That is a custom made Dean V made for Miyako who is a rep for them (she plays several guitars depending on the song) while Midori is an ESP rep and uses them exclusively. The Crusade" is a homage to "Iron Maiden - Aces High".
The lead track, "The Crusade," is a respectful tribute to British heavy metal, which the girls experienced in November 2017 when they performed at an event in the UK and toured London.
The Crusade" is the lead track of their mini-album "Battle Against Damnation" (released in June 2018).
In an interview for a magazine project, both Asami(Vo) and Haruna(Dr) said that they had to be the most enthusiastic in the Lovebites list at the time to be able to sing the song and play it all the way through.
Today, there are many more difficult songs than this one.

Thanks so much for getting back to amazing Lovebites so soon because they deserve more recognition. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako is also a concert level classical pianist. Some people say that they came to planet Earth in order to save metal. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. Miho left the band in August 2021 and Fami joined in October 2022.

Love your reactions to lovebites, great! Lovebites is a very versatile band, till now you've got a strong Iron Maiden vibe but for something completely different I'll recommend some other songs; Frozen Serenade, Swan Song with Chopin intro on piano or Break the wall. They're great live but also have some very good musicvideos, I'll recommend Shadowmaker or When Destinies Align. All the live footage is great, for more casual in the studio take a look at live from Abyss but don't watch the liveconcert of Bloodstock, the audio is of a horrible quality. Hope you'll do some more Lovebites in the near future and wish you all the best!
You will find that you don't need to put a filter over the screen with Lovebites. Especially if you take the videos from their own website or CZcams channel. They like reactors.

The ladies are always open about crediting their influences, and would never disrespect a pioneering band like Iron Maiden. But here is the crazy thing: Play this back to back with "Aces High", and you can't escape the fact that Lovebites are faster, more melodic, heavier and more precise than the dudes. Haruna just plays circles around Nicko. And it's all ok, because every field progresses. Someday there may be a band better than Lovebites, but right now they are the standard.
