    Am heartbroken. Love Jackman and hoped he would be one of the few Hollywood actors who would have a long lasting happy marriage. Despite the amicable split, am sad. Hope they can resolve their differences and rediscover their love for each other. 💔

    Most who aren't Aussies have no idea what a legend Deborra-Lee is considered in Australia not only as an actress but as a phenomenal director also. Her children are now adults & I think their public statement about heading in different directions is the truth. Wishing them both well, you only have one life & it goes so bloody quickly.

      I'm sorry. You're question is confusing. 😕

      No one should be forced to keep a relationship they don't want anymore.

      My husband and I are getting to our 24th year and the last 3 have been THE HARDEST! once you get older (we're 41) you start to realize what you've lost, what didn't work out, how you feel stuck. It's like this weird crisis.

      16 years, my husband and I have been together. I'm 37. I fear losing him though, he isn't the same man he was even 2 years ago, I am not perfect, but I feel so lost. Like without him my chest will cave in and i struggle to breathe. I'm so scared it's too late

    Ive noticed women who come out of long term marriages say things that most people already knew. It’s as if their growth was stunted by marriage. I saw it with my mom, and I’ve seen it with my friends, too. I’m not dissing them or their exes. I just don’t think marriage is ideal for the women, even in this age.

    • @DiamondBodyMedia
      @DiamondBodyMedia Před 24 dny +2

      you're right. most women's creativity is stifled after marriage through cultural conditioning of putting their creativity secondary to the man/husband. and whatever creativity they have has to go into their children or their husband has primary claim to it, using it for his work in the public arena. We are not yet seeing marriages where both woman and man have equal power over their own creativity inside and outside the home. Whether the man or the woman dominates the other partner is shut down. Creating the environment for your partner to truly be themselves and also working to truly be yourself in a safe nurturing way 'together' is something that our culture is evolving towards.

    • @colourrs
      @colourrs Před 23 dny

      True. I personally think getting Married will soon be like a very old tradition that people used to do & got pressured into thinking that’s what you had to do in life. I’m here for that change, your entire world shouldn’t revolve around a person so heavily, I don’t think that’s healthy for anyone.

    • @BlossomField91
      @BlossomField91 Před 9 dny +1

      It's a fact that marriage benefits men more than women. It's been demonstrated by decades of studies.
      Married men do better in their careers, are healthier, are less likely to be depressed, etc etc. It's almost the opposite for women. Married women (especially with kids) do worse in their careers, are unhappier on average, not as healthy, etc. Spinsters live longer and report feeling happier on average than married women. Seriously, look up the stories behind many of the women who lived to be the oldest people in the world, you'll notice a common trend, they were either never married or they were divorced/widowed at a much younger age.
      It's counter-intuitive because of societal conditioning and norms that promote the idea that the greatest ambition for a woman is to be married and she is a winner in life if a man finds her worthy enough to marry. Landing a husband is seen as a prize or at least a necessity.

    Such a crock of $h!t! If you are so loving and have such a good relationship, why do you have to separate to "pursue" individual journeys lol. Obviously you are not romantically involved anymore but can't be honest so you sugar coat it which makes it make less sense

      He's aged too.
      27 years is a long time and 12 years age difference is pretty steep. I'm not sure if age had anything to do with it. They probably would've split a long time ago if that were the case.

      you sound jaded. there are a lot of kind beautiful women who want to truly love a man and be loved by a man. There are ways of being in a healthy marriage. If being single is truly your purpose thats fine, but don't force your agenda onto others from a place of woundedness and unhealed trauma. sorry for whatever you went through. choosing a healthy partner and creating a healthy relationship is each persons responsibility. it is not a binary choice of relationship bad, single good. as humans we thrive on connectedness and belonging. 🥰😇
