I got into country when I was a teen. (That was more than a decade ago. Ugh.) I think it was an act of rebellion as I was raised in a snooty suburban area and this kind of music was very much looked down upon. Probably the same reason I started attending church. Take that, parents. haha
Anyhow, thanks for reminding me about the song "Unbelievable". I honestly forgot about its existence. Also, I'm feeling like I want to sit outside, drink my iced tea and blast some Ricochet. lol
      Have a great day!

My best friend told me in 1991 I was missing out on listening to country. I tried it out and was immediately hooked! 90's country is the best! So many great artists/groups with so much talent. I enjoy 80's country also and have Prime Country channel as a favorite on SiriusXM, but the 90's artists were a whole different level.

And I’ve always been a sucker for mandolin. I’ve seen these guys so many times. Quality musicians and quality human beings, all. So happy to see you react to them. 💜💜💜

There were a bunch of Country band’s that were popular about the same time as Diamond Rio. These groups had great harmonies during this late eighties and early nineties era. Since you liked DR, you might want to take a listen to Shenandoah’s “Get Me to the Church on the Cumberland Road”and Restless Heart’s “Dancy’s Dream”.

When this came out in the 90's, it was the last gasp of true and real country music before they started to add things that just didn't belong. Groups like Diamond Rio, Little Texas ("God Bless Texas" I highly recommend), Confederate Railroad, Kentucky Headhunters, and so many other artists tried their best to keep it authentic. I've been watching y'all for a little more than a 1 1/2 years now and I'm seriously thrilled see you expanding your musical interests and appreciation. More power to ya.

Love me some Diamond Rio. This was one if their first hits and the first song of theirs I ever heard. They have so many great hits.
Here's a few suggestions from their catalog.
    "Beautiful Mess"
    "One More Day"
"How Your Love Makes Me Feel"
While you are in the Country mood, I know how much you both love Alabama and it's been awhile since you've done one of theirs. I also know how much you both like the fiddle.
Take a listen to "Tennessee River".

Diamond Rio pumped out so many hits in the 90s and their songs were so well written, with multi-part harmonies, and killer guitar by Jimmy Olander. Their greatest hits album has absolutely no filler!! My favorites from them are In a Week Or Two, Walkin’ Away, One More Day, I Believe, You’re Gone, Bubba Hyde, and of course Meet in the Middle. I hope to see them in concert someday.

He was big from the mid 80s thru the 90s; influenced by Elvis and Buck Owens; his movements remind me of a slow motion Elvis! OMG! Marty Robbins, The Big Iron will blow your mind! In real life, Marty Robbins believed in reincarnation, and believed that in a previous life, he was the cowboy whose story he told in his hit song El Paso... He has a sequel called El Paso City that tells how he felt about it, all excellent songs... The man could write and pick!

Several have mentioned Little Texas. I highly recommend them also. "God Blessed Texas", "What Might Have Been", "My Love", "Amy's Back In Austin" and "Kick A Little" are some of my favorites. Restless Heart is another great 80s/90s country band.

The lead singer of Diamond Rio is Marty Roe. Some of the members have a bluegrass background so the tight harmonies are not surprising.

"You're Gone", "One More Day", "Norma Jean Riley"...any of those would be great for a second round of Diamond Rio

These guys actually got their start as a roving band at the defunct Opryland Theme Park.
