I have a golden retriever rn and he is going to be 8 in September. He is my “that once in a lifetime” dog you hear people talking about. I am tearing up literally rn just thinking about the day he leaves me. I don’t think I could handle having another one.
I’ve been surrounded by cats and dogs for my whole life and I love animals. I’ve always had several at a time but my bond with him is just so strong that I don’t know if I could handle getting another dog after he passes.
