Ian Habgood composed this, he also Composed airs soundtrack.
@louiswright8282 he also did the music for imperial leather bubbleworks. It got replaced by the original after a few years.
How did i not realise the music for this ride was so immersive! What incredible work they did on this, 10/10

5:24 is my favourite part. I believe that the music is split up into 4 sections. 0:00 to 3:27 is normal town life. 3:27 to 4:10 is a war against some other place, 4:10 to 6:23 is the mourning of the destruction of the town and 6:23 to the end is the rebuilding of the town.

I first heard this years ago as used in Tirrel/Cerberus' _Katan_ animation where the music just fit absolutely perfectly.
This soundtrack is what made me fall in love with the park in 2002 and has kept me in love with it since. Lord forbid they ever change this tune or get rid of the almighty Colossus

3:27 is the best part.
My first time on this coaster i thought it would be calm so i just sat back admiring the view and when we got to the top we dropped a tiny bit turning round we were about to enter the drop this was the moment when i realised this was not an ordinary coaster the 30 metre drop in front of me then i looked up i saw how big the loop was and i was like oh shit I’m going to piss myself then we dropped when we went through the loop i was like that wasn’t that bad i had seen part of colossus on a vid that there was a cobra roll but i didn’t see it coming so i thought they removed it straight after the loop we went over a small hill and then i saw the gigantic cobra roll and then i just tried to deal with the coaster.
How the fuck didn't you see the cobra rolls, the loops and stuff like that lmao
So this is what happened
"Im gonna go on this, you guys wait here!"
(few hours or so later after the queue)
"Finally i hated tha- wait what the fuck is that"
(A few minutes later)
"I FUCKING HATED THAT"

As my first Thorpe park coaster, the music is so iconic to me. However I think I had a mandela effect of remembering another instrumental part of the soundtrack that I remember hearing in the queue but can never seem to find when searching the colossus soundtrack on youtube
Are you thinking of the part at 3:35 with the trumpet like noises? If you search for vortex or any other lost city ride soundtracks I think you’ll be able to find that version

My favourite 10 inversion coaster
My 2nd favourite rollercoaster sound ever. (Nemesis Inferno is 1st) It gives you feels of sadness, fear, joy and is overally a beautiful soundtrack. 0:00 to 0:46 makes me feel free. 0:46 to 4:08 gets me built up. 4:08 to 5:24 makes me a bit nervous. 5:24 to 6:23 is so calm and sad. 6:23 to the end gives a feeling of fear. Its mostly creepy/scary though in my opinion! Anyway, I'm going tomorrow! So excited!

It's not a bad ride it's just rough, I believe the layout and area is fantastic!
I think they should keep the old trains, but give riders more legroom, and Colossus is well overdue a repaint.

When I was 8 I was still too small to go on them
fenton cowell when I was 12 I was too small and at 14 now I could only just get on. Was my first time on yesterday at Thorpe park and stealth was shut. Apart from that there was some really thrilling rides
Same here but I went on all the ones at Alton towers instead of Thorpe park because Thorpe Park is too far, but I have been to thrope park and rode the big ones and stealth is my favourite.

@@DoubleARay He ment that Colossus has 12 inversions and the Smiler had 14 so with that logic Smiler does beat it by 2 inversions.
But Colossus has 10 inversions namely a vertical loop a cobra roll two corkscrews and five heartline rolls.
And the Smiler has 14 inversions so it beats it by 4 inversions, not 2.

They tore down alotta good old coasters to build newer shitty rides so just enjoy that newer crazier, state of the art piece of shit that someone paid way too much money to build on a plot of land and then over charged the customers to make a sizable profit.every year.
