Nothing more frightening like the original, he could instant kill you back then, now in the remake you can parry his attack :\
+ the big Salvador in the water world mercenaries was something else too...
But I heard somewhere that Salvador will play a bigger role in the remake, he will evolve, the more you down him, there will be more encounter with him and he will be bigger and more terrifying, like that Big version we got in the mercenaries mode
His red eyes are a awesome detail the parasite has full control of him even more mutated then the villagers
@@UzumakiNagato Yes we can parry his attack which I heard is also a scrapped concept in the RE4 Beta. But Dr Salvador also won't be blast away by a shotgun shot, have new moves which is the chainsaw swinging combo like Mega Salvador and a charging attack like Pedro in Resident Evil Revelations 2. I think that are enough to compensate for our ability to parry his one hit kill ONCE since that will break the knife no matter the durability. Also I heard he can also cause damage in the environment to block Leon escape path.
@@UzumakiNagato The people who already tried a demo of the game tried doing the parry because the devs asked them to do it and ended up dying 3 times. It's not as simple as it looks and besides, your knife inmediately breaks and you're screwed until you find the merchant because you can only have one.
The new attacks Salvador has makes him more scary than the original imo, like the multiple swings he does like Super Salvador or the fact he can destroy the enviroment to stop you from escaping or even worse, the fact that when the villagers do teamwork and grab you, he starts RUNNING towards you ._________.
And he seems more bullet spongy than the original and the shotgun barely made him move. Imo, this new Salvador is an ACTUAL threath to the player and far more scarier than og.
Damn, Leon so chad he blocked a goddamn instakill chainsaw with a knife. Also merchant is getting more British, kinda miss Paul Mercier's original voice though.

Holy crap.. I was worried before but now I'm 100% on board. That looks not only gorgeous but in incredible. The gunplay looks so smooth. The enemies look terrifying, dude's head just bent over like that with a broken neck like wtf! Actual destructive environments scripted or not. Game looks sick and seeing how they're not doing a 1 for 1 remake yet again I'm interested to see what they improve. I just really pray it's not another cut out 70% of the game like REmake 3

@@ashwolf2006 I mean yeah we knew they could already do from the original since I don't know many people who can survive their head exploding from within as a giant parasite burst out of it. But I mean just the way his face is moving and making expressions with a broken neck and pieces of the parasite bursting out of the broken skin. Is disgusting and awesome in the most unsettling ways. Which I'm all for since the only enemies I found actually scary were the Regenerators and Chainsaw dudes. But that actually had me pause and take a moment.
Same here, I was worried too and actually didn't think Capcom was going to show much. I was pleasantly surprised & happy to be wrong.
Glad the kicking mechanic is still here.
I can't wait for the Regenerator, i imagines that in this Remake, this monster could be truly invincible, much like the Rasplanje of Resident Evil 6, at least until that you destroys theirs plagas, making the Regenerator possibly far more dangerous and more scary than in the original game.

Personally I don't like being able to block the chainsaw. It gets rid of most of the fear factor of him being instakill

You won’t do it all the time only you can do it if you have a knife look at the right side Leon has a knife he can use it only to stab the infected or block the saw from Dr Salvador aka chainsaw man
If you believe Chris can punch a boulder then I have no reason to think you can't block a chainsaw.

It's not about what he can and can't do. Gameplay wise the chainsaw was scary because you either ran from or yelled "FUC FUC FUC FUC!!!" when you put yourself in a corner.

That's what the Mature/M rating is for, but yeah, I'll hate to see those chainsaw deaths getting censored. In fact, I actually love to see how many more they can do with a chainsaw, not just head decapitation.

Whoever voiced the merchant sounds like he's half-assing it. He doesn't have the rich baritone and sheer enthusiasm and camp that the original voice actor had.

Ok, my review:
The voice for the merchant need to be more deep voice because he don’t sound a like 2. The handgun need more firepower of sound and 3. I know this is like an alpha beta or beta but it need more resolution and fps because I can’t see it smooth
I almost forgot the Spanish sound a little bad I don’t know if it’s in beta or this will be in the final game but the Spanish doesn’t sound like in the original where one of them says “Detras de tu Imbecil” or Te cogi” “Miralo esta uyendo” they don’t sound terrifying
You should also probably learn English. Just a tip.

This looks beyond amazing. I’m so glad that this is being done by the division at Capcom that did the RE2 remake and not the one that worked on the RE3 remake (fun game, just felt rushed compared to the RE2 remake IMO). It looks as good so far IF not better than the RE2 remake. The melee, the merchant, the new parry system, it honestly looks like it’s going to give a nice breathe of fresh air to my favourite RE title and one of my favourite games of all time.
The only thing I didn't liked is the merchant's voice, the old one cannot be replaced.

the parry against the chainsaw, that was terrifying but if successful, it will be most satisfying
I'm glad that it will be possible to take a lot of weapons with you as it was in the original (judging by 8 slots).
But it's not clear how the knife will work - if it breaks, it cannot be used for a simple hit? this will increase ammo consumption when collecting items for sale... and sometimes I did one or two shots in the leg, so that later I could make a few stab stab, which also saves ammo
THis is what I believe, Leon will have a single knife that can be upgrade to combat longer, and Merchant can repair his knife, so Leon had to use the knife strategically before he can reach the next Merchant shop
so you talk about about RE4 Remake will has same RE2 remake about get broke of knife and find new one. oh i see. my guess maybe it will just be like RE3 Remake store it will best and stronger than original. i can see RE2 & 3 remake vibes combined with original 4 become look like that it was blow us mind up

the only thing i wish they didnt change is the fact we are no longer using a laser pointer on our pistol, i can understand the shotgun and other guns not having it but i really liked the fact the pistol always hit where you where aiming and it made the game a bit more challenging

As much as I like this game. I’ve already played it on so many different platforms. Including vr. I just refuse to spend more money on the same game. Better graphics and a little better mechanics don’t make it worth it. In my opinion. May get it when the price drops. Happy for people that are excited for this.
