  • REVIEW TIME! Fox Dropframe Pro 4 Month Review
    What’s shaking guys and gals? I figured 4 months would be a good time to do a review on the dropframe pro. To cut things short, it’s my favourite helmet I’ve ever owned, everyone is subject to their own opinions and I’m game to hear them so drop it in the comments.
    The amount of coverage this helmet offers is incredible and it’s extremely comfortable, I don’t even notice it 99.9% of the time and that’s what I’m hoping for in a good helmet along with solid protection if I decide to take a fall and that’s covered with the MIPS technology.
    A lot of the riding I do involves a solid climb to the top, rarely do I ever shuttle so that being said, I have not overheated yet and don’t really see that happening with the amount of ventilation this helmet offers.
    It’s stylish and it keeps my head safe as I roll into my early 30’s and still go to work every day safety is number one.
    I hope you enjoyed the review, if you did please hit the like button or leave a comment.

    This one was a contender when I picked up the replacement trail helmet and after watching this kinda wish I went with this one haha. Nice review man

      Action Sports Zero what helmet did you end up with? There are so many to choose from these days, I had my eye on this one for a while before buying it. I’m stoked with the choice for sure.

      Grahamulous i went with the tld a1 not quite as much coverage as the dropframe but still more than most open faces on the market

      The A1 is still a great helmet. I have an A1 I got about 5 years ago and I still use it on longer days, it’s a super comfortable helmet too.

    I been rocking this helmet since it released and I must say they are probably one of the best out there

    Hey - I’m wanting to buy this helmet but I’m not sure what size to go - my head is about 55,5cm and I’m not sure if I should go large or medium since I am 15 years old and don’t wanna grow out of it quickly. So basically do you think the larger pads are big enough to compensate for if I go large?

    • @mtbbones
      @mtbbones  Před 4 lety

      Rourke Nordgaard that’s a great question considering you are young and will probably grow out of it pretty quick if you got something too small.
      The large would probably fit you just fine. I wish I could tell you to just go for it but in all reality it would be best for you to try it on if you can.

      Bought the medium. Head is 56cm. Doesnt fit. Changed to L. Fits perfectly.

      @@kornholioster Wow, Fox website says I should be size small with 55-56cm head. I'm new to biking as an adult (last bike 25yrs ago) - are you guys wearing your helmets quite loose for bicycling? Becuase I know motorbike helmets are supposed to fit really tight, to the point they push your cheeks up towards your eyes. I need a size XS to get a decent fit in most brands of those.

    • @kornholioster
      @kornholioster Před 3 lety

      @@chocolate_squiggle that's what i thought as well. Their small size wouldn't fit me. For this helmet, there are basically only 2 sizes, either medium or x-large. What makes it small/large are the paddings included. You just have to swap them to change medium to small and from x-large to large. I am using the large padding and it fits well. Even a bit tight

    hi bro, is there any adjustment you can twist inside behind your head to tighten or losen the helmet ?

    • @mtbbones
      @mtbbones  Před 4 lety

      Alvin Ting Hey man! No there is not, but with the different pad thicknesses that come with the helmet, you’ll likely find it’s not necessary, like full face helmet in that aspect.

    Whats your head size? Im 58cm and wondering if i should go L or XL. Thanks

    • @mtbbones
      @mtbbones  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for watching bud! I measure 56cm and wear a large I believe but I’ll have to look. The padding that comes with them gives you room to make it more snug with thicker pads or fit loose with the thinner pads.
      It’s almost more of a sm/m or m/l or l/xl sort of thing.

    What's the difference between the regular dropframe and the dropframe pro?

    • @mtbbones
      @mtbbones  Před 4 lety

      Rudy D The Dropframe Pro has MIPS technology where the standard version does not, there are subtle details like the flat black and gloss colour scheme on the pro as well but the main difference is the MIPS and worth investing a couple extra bucks.

    How do you remove the visor?

    • @mtbbones
      @mtbbones  Před 3 lety

      Unfortunately the the visor does not remove. It is a fixed visor. I’ve been rocking this helmet all year and have had zero issues or need to remove the visor honestly. Thanks for watching 🍻

      @@mtbbones I own one and I finally figured it out on how to remove it. Their connected to the helmet with tabs. You just pull it out and to put back on, they just snap.

      @@tekball9 NO WAY!! That’s awesome! Thanks for the update man, I haven’t been brave enough to try myself honestly. I was also told they weren’t removable haha now I’ll have to take a look. Thanks bud.
