An 18-year-old basketball star who is being recruited by Cornell University seems to have it all figured out: captain of his team, a good student, has a longtime girlfriend and some good friends. This movie really brought back so many memories for me. I was a stand up Athlete, I loved playing Basketball the most. My mother died when I was 13, my dad became an alcoholic, and my world was gone. I stopped showering in the gym 'cause I did not want anyone seeing all the bruises on me. My dad tried to commit suicide and all I did was watch. I thought this way the beatings wouldn't happen anymore. I lost all my power to keep going...I went from an A-B student to C&F's. So many emotions. The ending I cried out loud, it brought me to my knees. My husband was in shock that it moved me so deeply, I finally told him what I had suffered thru.

I thought this was a very powerful movie, but literally I feel that your story is just as powerful, if not more! First I want to say, I am so sorry for what you went through with your father. My mom went through a lot herself, with death, alcoholism, and abuse, so your story hits home with me. I am a Counselor and know how powerful it is for someone like you to receive inner healing and be set free from their past, and then be able to share your story with other victims, so they can begin to heal as well. God bless! and I hope you continue your healing track😊

By the way he plays Iceman perfect on X-MEN. Anyways, Goodnight guys im calling it a night I'm out of beer. Stay in school.
