- Brazil's Amazon is home to the world's largest number of uncontacted tribes, but for years, missionaries have violated Brazilian law protecting them by entering their lands.
Indigenous activists are now appealing to the Supreme Court, alleging the preachers are sowing discord and hoping to keep them out for good.
Al Jazeera’s Monica Yanakiew reports from Javari Valley in Amazonas State, Brazil.

I don't condone encroachment on land of any indigenous population for any reason. It is their right to decide if they want to be contacted or disturbed. The problem with people is they think they know what's best for others while their actions remain shrouded in false pretenses to enrich themselves in the process. Almost every native population has faced or will face this problem. The world isn't getting any bigger and people won't stop reproducing and their are only so many resources to do around.
