  • After an absence of six years, we return to the Severn Valley Railway for the ever popular 1940s weekends. Shot over Saturdays 27th June & 7th July, and set to the music of Noel Coward and George Formby, this video, the first of two, attempts to capture the spirit of this fantastic annual event.

What a wonderful video i have really enjoyed watching this. My son is the lad playing the Banjo Ukulele very well edited to fit in with the solo of Mr Wu An Air Raid Warden

Pauline Aitken Thank you very much for your kind comment. I'm pleased that your son features in this video. It's a shame that he appears in picture only because it's a great talent that he has there that rivals George Formby himself. Good luck to him and thank you again for commenting and boosting my viewing figures.

Geoff May Thank You Geoff, you're most welcome. It certainly is a fantastic event and for once the trains are not the main attraction. It's mainly about the people who get involved.

I have a soft spot for the occassional vintage dress. Different times I guess.

Robert Masterman Thanks as always Bob. All the credit goes to Alan for the editing. I just point the camera at anything that moves, he does the same and then pieces it all together.
