My 80's rig was a ADA MP-1, Furman PQ-3, Roland SDE 1000, Rocktron Intellifex, Rocktron Pro Q, BBE Sonic Maxamiser, HUSH IIC, Randall Stereo power amp and 2 Boogie Road Ready 4-12 cabs. Good times ~!

I would die to buy a guitar from you just because you've been my top 1 since Alone Again. You,Warren, and Jake are my top 3. I met George 4 times. The first was in Bethlehem Pa when Lynch Mob, Cinderella ,and Nelson toured together. I believe it was 91 or 92. I was walking out of the Stabler Arena, and Oni Logan was walking out with two girls and I spotted him. I walked up to him and asked him if I can meet George and he said, "if you help me change the tire on this girl's car, I'll tell you where we are staying and you can meet us there and I'll have you meet George!" I changed the tire by myself while Oni talked to the girls. They were staying at the Bethlehem Hotel. I got pulled over on the way there and I got a ticket cause the light turned red and I kept going . I got there, but I couldn't go in to the bar area where the band was cause I was 19 or 20, so I saw Oni, he got George and George came out and talked to me and my cousin for 10 minutes. Anthony Esposito signed my citation. I then met George years later at Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown,Pa when Lynch Mob opened for Yngwie. And then met him twice at NAMM Talk about humble. Best memories of my life

A life long fan. I'm almost 50 & George is of my era. So to see him at any capacity is still a treat. The guy has made so many of my favorite noises & 40 years after seeing the "In my dreams" solo. It had a major impact on my life. My sense of taste. Great to sit & talk. You all that ever got to speak with him like that are extremely fortunate.

I used ADA MP-1 preamps for a long time with Rocktron Replifex and Intellifex units. I ran the ADA MP-1 in a Boss NS-2 with a Real Tube II preamp (always clean) for stereo fx loop. The ADA MP-1 did all the voicing. I used a MosValve power amp and 2 4x12 cabs. Later, I split them both into stereo now. I used less cable. Barely any pedals. Just wah, noise gate (hidden in the rack). Dual MIDI controllers. Now, I use multi channel Tube heads with Two Note Torpedo Captor 8s and dual Two Notes Torpedo Cab M plus boxes for stereo. The DI out from the Two Note Torpedo Captor 8s drives my stereo fx into the dual Two Note Torpedo Cab M plus boxes. Sounds amazing like the rack gear. The difference is the Tube power section is involved in my tone now

@@davidmarshall385 Ada Mp1 is a rack tube preamp. It has Solid State clean channel, clean Tube ( Fender like clean or medium gain overdrive) dirty tube ( Marshall/Mesa Boogie type overdrive. The preamp has a chorus/flange built in as well. You run the preamp through fx or straight into any tube or Solid State poweramp. It has MIDI presets to have consistent sounds. It was a great system used by many bands in it's day. Metallica, Skid Row, Extreme, numerous bands used them. It's all good whether you are into plugging straight into an amp or not these were killer preamps. Watch Leon Todd's ADA MP-1 videos.

@@davidmarshall385 I still have rack gear, but now favor Multichannel tube heads (3) clean, crunch, high gain, with solo boost for leads. I use Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 reactive loads to capture preamp and poweramp section. Send the signal to stereo fx. The dry signal is mic'd up and the stereo signal runs into a stereo pair of Two Notes Torpedo Cab M plus IR boxes and to 2 other amps. My main guitars are Ernie Ball Musicman JP 7 string guitars. I was influenced mostly by EVH, George Lynch, Warren DeMartini, and Steve Vai. I like mostly rock music. Some metal. I listen to many types of music. For me gear is merely tools to express yourself. Many players have different approaches and I am just trying to do my own thing

On the programming stuff, yeah you can program it but it loses the soul and human prescience. Also some people go too far with it where it's quantized to every note is exactly on time all the time or it's just something a human being could never or would never play.

100% spot on. The issue with artificial intelligence and all that comes with it in this futuristic techno age is the word 'artificial' which sums it up.. Our real, raw connection to all our pleasures like musical instruments where we express ourselves are all disappearing. As you said, there's no soul or true feel in what's being done by programs

Am I supposed to stop playing because I'm not the best?
