it depends. if you have a good mechanical foundation, e.g. you stride correctly, you have the right tempo and the correct arm timing, then yeah. extra flexibility can be the source of a more effortless, more elastic delivery with more velocity over time. If your mechanics are not on point, youre much more prone to injury.
