I would take Marchand ahead of any of the Leaf's core 4. Yes including Matthews. Yes he scores a lot of goals, but goals alone don't make a great player. And Matthews does not have the leadership abilities of Yzerman or Messier or Wendel Clark or any great team leader. Can you believe Marchland earns half the money of the Leaf's clown show. Why would I take? His grit, heart and determination make him better. Plus he is a skilled player that also plays with an edge and gets into the heads of the opposition. The Leal's core 4 are just too polite, pushovers, too easy to play against. They can be pushed around and they just take it. That doesn't win playoff series. The Leafs don't have any players that play with the level of grit and determination Marchand plays with. That's one of the reason he wears the C.
What do you mean a few calls does not dictate the results of a game?? It 100% does especially when the game is that close
Getting the calls doesn’t guarantee anything. The boys were 0/5 on PP weren’t exactly firing on all cylinders. But I feel the things that can dictate the game is heart, effort and a bit of luck.
@@TooLuky I agree but getting calls gives you an advantage and can easily change the outcome of the game
