- Chinese New Year (aka lunar new year) is officially today, 2/10/24 and it's the year of the dragon. These are the Lucky Lion Dancers from San Diego. There was a bigger crowd this year (packed in many areas). Pechanga Resort & Casino is located in Temecula, California.
