    Thank you so much, you have saved me hours of work. You explain this far clearer than most other channels/sites I have come across!

    Hello! I need assistance resolving an issue in Revit. When I change the height of one wall, it affects another wall even if it’s not selected. How can I ensure that only the wall I pick is modified

    Hi
    I have a question.
    How can we create a truss like this family but without vertical webs.
    I tried many times, bit I couldn't solve the problem. It didn't fix and lock the array by top and bottom chords.
    Would you please help

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, you can. Edit the group and replace the vertical web with a reference line, then add dimension and parameter and finish the group, you might need to use align to constraint the first and last group onto vertical reference planes. Let me know if you still couldn't get it to work. Or, here is the one without vertical webs:drive.google.com/file/d/16M3eN9Y3sCxprAG5QPhFI5gsW3RKTbW9/view?usp=drive_link

    Hi, Bin He, your channel is great, might I ask you something? it´s possible to add a YES/NO parameter in order to control and hide those diagonals if they don't need it? Thanks in advance.

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  Před 3 lety

      Yes, you can. You can add visibility parameter in a group too.

    Hello! Is it possible to make a parametric truss such as this, where you can control the amount of panels but have the top chord be slanted?

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, we can. Just use the Attach Top tool in the project to match the roof.

    Hi, is possible to create a family with the condition for top and bottom chord If the length of Truss is 6 meters but < 12m use 2 chords and if the length is >12m use 3 pieces? I ask for this because the steel profiles are usually 6m (max12) long and i want to create a family which choose the number of segments according to truss length. Thank You

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  Před 3 lety

      I don't think you can do in using Structural Truss, I'm not 100% sure because I am not very good at structure. If you built it as normal family or even adaptive family, you can use if condition to control it I believe.

    Thanks for the video. May I suggest you explain the parameters in a bit more detail? it is slightly difficult to follow those who don't have enough background knowledge in creating families.

    Can I choose the two beams to be H beams and the tie beams to be L bars?

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yes, select the truss, go to Properties, edit type, and you can change them in Structural Framing Type. You need to load those structural framing families first before they will appear in the dropdown menu.

    Hello, your video is so helphul however I found this warning when I aligned the base chord and the web unit :"Revit is unable to generate a truss using the current Layout Family and Truss orientation." I can't fix it and wondering if you have any solutions?

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  Před 3 měsíci

      Unfortunately, I am not sure why this happened, and it could be because of the relationship between different members. Maybe try adjusting the size, height, spacing, etc., and see if it will be fixed.

    Hello. I ike your video, it's very helpful. but may I suggest that you explain the steps a little slower and show the commands used in the steps? (I know keyboard shortcut is much faster, maybe by mouse-click?).. i'm not a native english spoken and my english listening is not that good, CZcams auto-caption also not very helping for some words when I try to imitate the steps performed. thankyou.

    Hi Bin He, 1stly Thanks for the tips on all your videos it really helps a lot.
    2ndly i want to create a parametric duel slope (different slopes) its a very specific truss for a project but the parameters i make revit in the family fail when i test it in the Type prop. but in the model they kind of work. Couls i ask for assistance to help with this special truss ? I can email the family if you have a email i may send to? Please & Thanks in Advance
