    Hi Bin He Setting the reference quota is very simple. The model does not move, but the reference altitude of the project is linked to the sea level altitude. 0 Work in a section view 1 Unpin Survey Point, so it stays there, and it doesn't move down. 2 Go to Manage Project Location Coordinates Specify coordinates at point 3 Select the level Specify Shared Coordinates New Coordinates Elevation input the value set OK 4 check it out with Spot elevation relative to Project base point and Survey Point Best regards RMN

  • @samoxflox9261
    @samoxflox9261 Před 4 dny

    Jaaah … great … 1000 thanx Bin After I ‘ve watched yours , I think the best is to move the topo down without messing with levels and only change the project base point elevation For edit points after-wise no worry: from 2024 and up you can show the points relative to : * current level * project base point * survey point * internal origin (??) Usually when you do a project (in school I mean) you start with the building first and then build up the topo later, thus it might be difficult to move the building up. It’s easier to move the topo down By the way the topo solid has some capabilities, but the topo surface is still more accurate than the topo solid. Luckily you can convert the topo surface into topo solid in R24, R25 …. I Wonder why Autodesk doesn’t fix the bug before they continue issuing new versions ! Thanks,

    The reason why you couldn't move the object vertically in the first place is because "Constrain" was checked. Uncheck it, and you can move it regardless of the Work Plane.

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615 Před 5 dny

      No, the constrain here means you can only move the object in orthogonal directions, you won't be able to move an element in the direction perpendicular to the associated work plane.

For construction and detailed drawings, modeling in place is likely to be easier and faster to work with.

      You can modify the profile to the shape you want, instead of some rectangles. Alternately, you can create an adaptive family with the profile (model lines), load it into the pattern-based family, use place on face and place two on each reference lines, then create a form with them.

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615 Před 10 dny

    • @samoxflox9261
      @samoxflox9261 Před 10 dny

      @@BINHE615 To make the topo is very straight forward , the issue is how to get it to match your levels that you have in the project, so when you apply label the numbers will match the picture (fx, +42 000, +42 500, + 43 000 etc like what is shown in the picture) although your levels are just as normal fx 0.00, 3200, 6 400 etc As you told me before it has probably something to do with moving the project point together with all the levels so it matches the number you have in the picture, then at this moment if you create a topo and label it it will now show the real elevations like the contour lines in the picture I’ve tried before it works, but want to see your way to do it

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615 Před 10 dny

      I believe a few versions ago they changed how project base point work, not 100% sure what the best way is but I always prefer moving the entire project up to match the topo if it is still in early stage, or there is no elevations or section views with details or texts. If the project has already well developed and become too hard to adjust the level, I will just move the project base point and the topo down to suit the project, and make sure that the base level in the Label Contour tool is using the project base point for reference. You can also use survey points, not really know the difference since I mainly work on smaller project and do not need to worry about survey point at all.
