Stefan, my Amazon order arrives tomorrow. I can’t wait to read it and then read it aloud with my 7 year old granddaughter! She’s already reading we’ll be on her age group and I suspect both of us will have lots of fun learning about “you and me”. A Minnesota geographer who loves watching your channel.

Great stuff. been following your channel for about a year and i love your presenting style. Your enthusiasm comes through but so does your humour. I'm 40 now but it was books like these that kept me interested in dinosaurs, the ancient world and everything in between. A few facts and a lot of fun made for a great combination at any age but the mix is a little different for different stages of life. I probably got rid of them during my mid-teens when i felt I'd outgrown them... but now there's part of me that would do anything to find them and re-immerse myself in a little bit of my childhood. Fantastic achievement.

Hi Stefan, I don’t usually comment on things but thought your book deserved it.
I bought this book because I know my 8 year old daughter is into scientific related topics. We finished the book last night after bed-time reading a few chapters every other night. I’ve got to say it’s been enthralling for both of us and very funny at times (obviously Viking poo is hilarious to an 8 year old and a very immature 40 year old). I just wanted to say thanks for writing it as not only have we learned but you’ve gave myself and my daughter some very special memories.
As a side note the illustrations are beautiful and very original.
My daughter already wants to start it again and I’ve got a 6 year old son which I’ll start it with when he’s ready so it’s definitely worth the money I paid (and more). Thanks (again) so much for creating it.
I got it off Amazon so I’m now off to give a 5 star review there. Best wishes.

I ordered immediately and got it next day. I’m studying anthro and my little girl (3 yrs old) LOVES looking at all the bones (I’m constantly looking at bones 😂) and other illustrations and asking me to tell stories about them. Now she has her own book with stories.
This takes me back to the first two books I remember ever looking at. One was a book about ancient Mesopotamia and the other about Ancient Greece. They were my older brothers books but I think I literally wanted to learn to read to have access to those stories. I hope my girl is similarly obsessed with ancient cultures. ❤️

This is so rad!! Congratulations! My 8yo just saw it and said "WHOA! I want that!!" -- and he usually rolls his eyes at my attempts to get him interested in all the videos I watch. Clearly you have The Gift.
My interest in archaeology began when I was about 11 years old. I took out a book from our local library entitled " God's, Graves and scholars and read about Heinrich Schliemann's excavation of Troy, Sir Arthur Evans excavations of Mycenae and Knossos and many others. Many years later due the vissitudes of life I became an educator at a top boys school in Johannesburg South Africa. While cruising the shelves of the well stocked library I came across an old copy of this book still in its blue faux leather cover and gold lettering. I opened the back cover which contained the reader history and saw with some disappointment that it had only been taken out twice, once in 1954 and once in 1967. Such a shame as this book contained so much information. It seems that if books are not digitized or in comic book format these days, the activity of reading has been lost among youngsters of today. But all strength to you Stephan if you have produced something that will lure kids to sit in tree and read.... well done!
Incredible book! I showed it to some of my students last year and they were enraptured! Showcases some of the most interesting stories in history! Definitely worth it for the price as well, the illustrations are beautiful and it is long!

Also love to see those Maya structures with paint on them, as opposed to grey and worn down like a lot of books do (though there'd likely be less tree cover/more buildings in city centers then that) Anyways, If you ever do a sequel and need photos or references for Prehispanic stuff, let me know: I have tons of photos I've taken I'm fine with people using for free. No need to pay a stock photo site for their photos of sculptures or ceramics which are centuries old anyways!
