- Join Curacho and friends as we explore one of San Diego’s most iconic tourist attractions in Seaport Village. The day starts with lunch at Tacos del Gordo in San Diego’s Gaslamp district, followed by a short stop at a Filipino restaurant, Gaslamp Lumpia Factory. It is then followed by a relaxing walking tour of festive Seaport Village. While walking along the San Diego Bay, we highlight some of the sights: the Seaport Village Carousel, the pond area, shops, hotels, and restaurants, including the iconic Harbor House Restaurant. We also enjoy views of the Coronado Bridge and the Coronado Island as we continue our walk towards the USS Midway Museum. We looked at some of the aircrafts on this aircraft carrier that has been converted into a museum. We then proceed to another iconic attraction, the “Unconditional Surrender” statue, also commonly referred to as the “Kissing Nurse” statue. We also visit the plaza called “A National Salute to Bob Hope and the Military”, with 15 life-sized bronze statues, arranged as if attending a Bob Hope show.
