- Here we go again with another classic popular song orchestrated. This time, I looked at the very simple but still very catchy beat of Seven Nation Army. To be honest, the hardest part about this was to make sure the song kept its consistancy all the way through, which I think was a success. Oh, and that bass drop at the begining was definetly the highlight of the song, it's the one thing that made me want to make the whole song, just for the sick intro you can make with it.

Man the cameraman took such a terrible shot, he could have at least waited until the army was close enough for their banners to be distinguishable. To be fair though, it was the army that brought the shitty tiny banners that you can't make out from any reasonable distance.

I love this. I think I'll be hearing this in my head as my D&D character goes into the final boss encounter of our campaign when It arrives.
The Scene I just planned is gonna use this.
6 of the candidates for emperor of the entire continental empire have gathered to face a new threat from distant lands . 7 Armies all banded together. Several gods who have predicted this day as the start of the Apocalypse, a Time god who has tried and failed to divert it thousands of times but never makes it past today, until the actual present catches up to it. 5 Players who know they play a central role in all of this look onto a battlefield. The God counts down to the moment it all ends.
Nothing happens. The Leaders who were in the know take this a sign that this timeline's attempt to divert it was in fact finally successful. They command their army to charge and the others join in. But the Armies don't move. This song starts playing.
The soldiers all turn in place and attack their own commanders.
A 7 nation army now stands united under a common unknown threat.
A distant laugh is heard, which slowly grows closer.
Suddenly a large shape is seen falling from the sky, then another, and another. The Gods themselves are falling from the heavens like a meteor shower...
Finally the BBEG reveals himself...
The humble Dungeon Master who started the campaign off by DMing for the characters. A nerdy scrawny ginger boy who needs glasses to see past his own nose, walks down the aisle of the parting armies. And introduces himself once more.

For all you other orchestra peoples, I couldn't find a solo version (melody) for viola, so I translated it from piano. The notes are A, A, C, A, G, A, A, C, A, G, F, G, F, E.
I play it on the A and D strings. You can pretty easily figure out the rhythm just by listening to it.
Oddly enough, we're using this song (not this version, but similar) for a ballet dance at my studio!

The beginning of Black Blades from Two Steps From Hell is still one of my favourite music intro of all time for it's bass.
I love at the beginning at 0:00 where the contrabassoon plays the ostinato. Especially on 1:06 where the trombones+tubas , double basses+cellos and the bassoons take over this part
I was listening to this while playing Battlefront 2 as Darth Vader fighting all of the rebels, and it made me feel like the most OP Darth Vader ever! I really recommend this song if u are playing some sort of war/fighting game

A battle on a foggy stretch of ocean. The opponents ships come out of the fog, hundreds of the biggest battleships you’ve ever seen. But you heard them long before you saw them. This song, starting faintly from the distance and becoming deafening as they drew closer, had been playing for nearly an hour. They didn’t need the element of surprise, this was just going to be an all out slaughter.

Carter Adams A medieval battlefield would probably play out like Chivalry with larger maps, horses, and siege engines. Teamwork would be mandatory, as opposed to strongly recommended, as one horseman won’t do anything to a defensive line and catapults take several men to operate.
Oh, and since it’s specifically battlefield all the European knights will be black women and the campaign will follow a 6-year old’s singlehanded conquest of France or something.

This reminds me of the time I was playing on a sloop in sea of theives with my friend and we faught a full pirate legend galleon, we were about to finish a vault quest, and he jumped onto their ship with a powder keg and blew it up, killing one of the pirate legends, and started fighting the other 3 while I sailed away with the loot and sold it at an outpost
Pro tip: if you're in a sloop being chased by a Galleon or Brig, go against the wind to have a major speed advantage
