Battleships commanded such a unique presence that modern ships lack.
I know we aren't very happy with the Russians at the moment, but the Kirov class battlecruisers are of a similar size and presence to battleships.
They are also very handsome ship's, though they are a bit evil looking with the red paint...
nothing like mounting a single turret weighing more than a destroyer on your battleship

The Iowa could fire 3 barrages by the time the Yamato was close enough to fire. Even then, the shells were damn slow

Imagine being the admiral on a battleship like the Missouri. The enemy thought they won, but then they hear the hell of 16inch shells landing around them.
Imagine the germans on D-day seeing the Allied fleet.
@@robertprincz6390 it was probably scary for them knowin' our luck. I mean the U.S.S. Texas was just shy of 3000 yard from the beach apparently and filled part of it's hull with water just to shoot further inland. I'm not quite sure how close or how far in the other ships shot/were, but just thinking of that dreadnought back in the day in prime condition would be startling most likely.
Roll of thunder (the panzer division's) hear my cry (the Missouri with it's 16in shells). I could only imagine what could have happend if the Missouri was made early durring WW2.
Imagine that WW II ended not in half of 1945, but like in end of 1948. Imagine what a hell machines would be there. Changed: i dont mean nukes btw

@@guillemorenosoria1720 Yah the superstructure and turret design is consistent with late war american battleships, it is most likely an iowa class but the turrets look a little off to me, maybe a south dakota class or something a little older perhaps?
No it's not the Bismark, the superstructure for the bismarck is very low in height compared to other battleships and the turret design had 2 guns per turret not 3.
At first glance I thought Yamato because it's more well known and the top of the tower looks similar but the turret design is way off and the ships structure as a whole just looks too small.
This is bothering me I want to know what this ship is!

I heard the US is trying to bring them back by 2050, or at least that was the plan by the Trump administration. We already have battlecruisers, (the Russian Admiral Nakhimov in particular giving off battleship energy) and lord knows we have the resources to make ‘em (look at the size of the American Gerald R. Ford super carrier) and the US has been moving back towards big powerful guns instead of missiles lately (at launch the Zumwalt class, the Americans latest stealth destroyer, was equipped with 155mm cannons, and no missiles, but they plan to put hypersonic missiles on it as well as the new rail guns, but as of right now, the two in service don’t have these) so we’re definitely moving closer to a 21st century battleship by the day. Point is, there is yet hope >:)

British dreadnought was 1907,
So of course the Germans dreadnoughts were better. They learned from British mistakes and changed design plans or invented workarounds accordingly.

This is a true story where 12000 german soldiers where going against a single russian battalion (2000 soldiers) and the russians didnt have gas mask and the soldierss that did had very poor gas mask and so the germans used mustard gas but the russians kept running foaming at the mouth skin and flesh melting frightening enough to make th 12000 german soldiers run to the back lines even getting caught in there own traps and the 2000 russian soldiers lasted long enough for more russians to back them up and wind up winning.

@@cooperautobot2165 its the uss Alabama in dock with the signal flags hanging on the superstructure. You can tell because the angled parts on the sides of the turrets and the two visible secondaries with waht would appear to be the barely visible barrels of the quad barrel aa guns at the sides also yamato had wider guns and a taller bridge.
