Anthony H is one of my favorite actors. I knew he was an alcoholic, but so nice to hear his story. I could certainly identify with feeling different from.

A person has the right to blow their own anonymity for whatever reason they care for, I have absolutely no right to blow another's. The traditions are for me to practice.

Ashamed? Never. I do appreciate the support though. I am certain that the person will download this awesome message and share it with others. I am also certain that this person listened to this complete message. Inspiring others to invest in themselves by traveling the road of recovery is the only act that matters.

For those who keep whining about his anonymity being broken...this was taped at The Betty Ford Clinic, if memory serves, and he also gave an open interview to Newsweek about his recovery. He never maintained anonymity, which is his choice. He knows his voice helps others. He’s been sober some 43 years now....do you honestly think he cares? AA regularly records famous speakers and then allows access to the public. Stephen King also openly broke his own anonymity. This is a non-issue. Anonymity is a PERSONAL CHOICE...which means if the member chooses to NOT remain anonymous, that’s their choice...and once they break their own anonymity, all bets are off. If he cared, he never would appear at PUBLIC speaker meetings. Almost all speaker meetings are OPEN to the public.

Then change the 12 Traditions. If he wants to break it that's one thing but it's not for us to break the anonymity of someone else. And perhaps refrain from using the word whining, it's manipulative. And to break the anonymity of another person as well? Dude seriously messed up!!! The 12 Traditions should be respected.

jungastein Anthony Hopkins chose to break his own anonymity, which is fully his choice. He speaks openly about being an alcoholic, he spoke openly about it to Newsweek and other publications. He’s proud of his recovery, and shares his story to help others. Hats off to him.

it is anonymous man. Bill and Bob were a WHOLE NOTHER STORY. Please, think of it . its one thing to post his qualification its another to blow his anonymity man. NO ONE has the right to do that EXCEPT the person it is . Post the video without blowing his anonymity.

Andrew MASS Anthony Hopkins has never remained anonymous, which is his choice. He spoke openly with Newsweek about his early struggles with alcohol, and his over 35 years of sobriety. Once he made it public, and because he’s an Academy Award winning actor and a huge celebrity...he knows that he no longer has that anonymity...and he doesn’t care, obviously. Otherwise he wouldn’t give public interviews about it.

"We admitted we powerless over alcohol, that our lives had become unmanageable."
The bible says you are powerless over ALL sin. It is not a liquor or drug problem. You are the walking dead that cannot do right.
AA keeps you away from Christ, that's exactly what it does.
Sinners do what they do. They sin. They live in sin, they're filled with sin, that's what they do. That's all they can do.
The answer is to repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ.
"Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity."
Is AA talking about the Lord of the bible? No. AA never defines the power because they are anti-Christ.
Well, Satan is a power greater than man and he has been known to restore people to sanity. The bible says Satan has that power and great authority (Revelation 13:2) He is a liar and a murderer from the very beginning.
But this is the power that Bill Wilson is talking about. It's wicked. And it's getting power from spirits and not regeneration by the Holy Ghost completely changing you and making you a new creation in Christ!
"Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him."
The bible tells us to do the exact opposite of what Bill Wilson says to do.
    Proverbs 3:5-9 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
